Best trombone you could get
Sharkey, 26.07.2017
This is the best trombone I've ever played.
It plays as good as it looks which means its brilliant.
It has a brilliant high register that can soar on top of a low brass section in an orchestra or fits brilliantly in a wind ensemble setting too. Also very good in a brass band. It also has a big low register and a beautiful singing all through the registers.
The harmonic bridge is also a big feature of the trombone and a great way to personalise the trombone to you.

The immense lightness of being
Michael1029, 25.01.2014
To begin with, it is clear: I am thrilled! A phenomenal instrument !! And it makes me clear, which I technically still everything to appropriate.

But once again from the beginning: I have played a Bach 42 for about 7 years until the summer of last year. In the last two years, playing on this instrument has become increasingly difficult. The generation of the sounds became from time to time more and more difficult and needed more and more force. The change to other mouthpieces could not reduce the considerable expenditure of force, which was now necessary. In the end, this was so far that I could not produce a sound on the old Bach in the orchestral rehearsal. The instrument itself was perfectly fine; But apparently the instrument no longer suited me.
So I went looking for a new trombone, tried out different models, and had befriended me with Shires models. Since I wanted to try different models in a direct comparison, I drove to Thomann. There the crew from the brass department gave me the opportunity to try all available models (which took a good 2 hours). They gave me not only the instruments for which I was really interested. The very attentive Thomann coworker also introduced the Edwards to try out, without me that was initially recognizable. And that was it! When I took this instrument into my hands, there was immediate attention. Because the Edwards is much more balanced in the hand than all other instruments before (and these were not children's toys). Also the processing was once again significantly higher quality. The bars on which the instrument is held have a somewhat smaller diameter than usual; As a result, holding felt much more filigree than with other instruments. The thumb head of the Quartventil is made of wood, which fits wonderfully on the finger.

So: the first impression when taking in the hand was already convincing. But the allusion was the coronation! I was actually used to a hard-working brook. Nothing of it! Whatever the location and registry: the Edwards was there right away. With it, a piano can be blown, which I have not yet known. It reacts immediately, with great precision, to every movement of the lips. It also makes it clear, however, where one still has its weaknesses !! Whether it's lovely in the Bel Canto or a jazzy number, the trombone is able to play everything you want - provided you're technically capable of doing it! The trombone itself does not seem to know any limits - or I am still a mile away from it. Let's see.

Conclusion: an incredibly beautiful instrument, with a wonderful tone in an excellent workmanship. Actually, I did not want to spend so much money. Property me then but then durchgerungen, around 1,000, - more to spend more. I have not even regretted spending this money. The trombone is worth every penny and an unconditional purchase recommendation. As it currently looks, I believe I have found my instrument. Since I play them now, trombone playing is also fun again.
