Brilliant combo

MikaelS, 23.01.2014
Being lead singer and bass player, I use this basscombo as a monitor for my bass as well as for vocals. This way I can have my own level of bass sound, with the main bass rig (also EBS) set to the level for the audience (and/or bandmates).
High quality and very good sound as alway with EBS. Efficient tilting function.
Only drawback is that all buttons etc are hard to see when tilted - it would have been better to have those in the front (but that would have increased the size, I assume).

Nice combo, with very good sound

Ringo Star, 12.10.2016
My impression on the EBS is quite positive.
I wanted a relatively small combo, which can be angled, as "living room combo" and can be used for occasional small gigs. The possibility to use it as a bass monitor and to use a 5-string bass makes the EBS attractive to me.

The processing:
The processing of the combo is good. The impression the combo makes, the price is quite appropriate.

Equipment:
The equipment of the combo is tendencially scarce.
It would have been nice if there was a tuner output, an effect loop path and a mute switch. - but I knew that before :-)

Particularly positive is to be highlighted, a variable center frequency control and an aux input, for looping in further signals

The sound:
The combo sounds very balanced and is provided with a warm basic note, the EBS sounds nice enough.
Blues, jazz, acoustic sessions fit the combo.

The variable center control is really great.
An adaptation to any room acoustics is possible.
Very much like the sound of the combo along with 4 string basses, like Fender Jazz or Precision Bass.
Also 5 string basses come deep and full to the ear, there is nothing to complain about.

In practice:
The EBS is doing well. The volume that is possible is quite hefty. For a 12 "combo with a good 100 watts, this is acceptable. As a stage monitor and for small gigs the session goes well!

Due to the variability and the good allround properties, the EBS is very useful. I appreciate it when a case is tiltable, just when there is almost no place in a pub. I can then listen and not only my calves are massaged.

21Kg are not super light, but the combo is easy to transport. The part is absolutely "smart"

For the delivered is the price-performance ratio mn tendenziell okay.

Under 100 watts and 12 "speaker, I would not buy a combo anymore, which should also be gigtauglich.
The EBS is for me at this point quasi the lower limit.

The EBS Session 120 is enough for the pro-band with a not too loud band, for Kneipengigs and small stages, if the Combo as a Bassmonitor is used. The EBS is an unspectacular and usable tool.

addendum:
After longer use I find the combo still a bit better than in the beginning. The sound is simply great, the part can also be relatively noisy and the combo is really sensibly processed. Certainly, there are more favorable ways to have good bass sound, but the EBS is more of the kind where you do not have to worry about whether the part works.
He is unspectacular and does what he should.
The price performance ratio is good for me.
Clear recommendation for Session 120!
