I guess the four main criteria when choosing a guitar strap is looks, quality, comfort, and for most of us, affordability. On all four counts, this strap is really hard to beat. The leather is quite malleable and flexible, and certainly not too dry and potentially cracky, as so many lesser quality leather straps are. The looks are also great, and while I don't have a guitar of the same brand, the chrome 'D' looks really good (I joking say that it stands for 'down and dirty'). Practicality is also a plus with an adjustment of the length needing only a minute or two. Obviously, any comparison attests to it affordability. I guess that with my telecaster, which is just about the same weight as my Les Paul, I sometimes feel my shoulder a bit. Perhaps at the shoulder the strap could have been a bit thicker--although the leather is, compared to others, quite thick. But a slightly sore left shoulder every now and again is well worth the joy every time I slip the strap over my head.
I also put in again, a big plus for Thomann, whose delivery service is really great.
In short, a great looking strap that mostly feels good and looks really cool.
