Great delay

ArmandsV, 11.07.2017
In a nutshell : If there's a way to make a digital pedal, this is it. It sounds lively and real to me. Great build and options, only thing missing is tap footswitch.

It's a great build, has some decent weight, it looks great, knobs feel smooth and sturdy as can be.

I love the tails option, I sometimes use it as drone/freeze kind of effect kicking it in for one sound and then letting the tails go on as you play some lines on top of it.

Tap is incredibly important feature for me on a delay, I like my delays in time in very most cases. That's a bit of a problem with this pedal. It does have a tap function, but it's quite clumsy, because you have to hold the footswitch to go in tap mode first, and in playing situation it can be a distraction. For that reason I leave it in tap mode constantly. That said, it's a clever way they got this function in the pedal, while retaining the small size of it, which they worked for with the stacked control knobs too.

It has analog, reverse, Lo-Fi, tape modes.
The Tape one, is my favorite. If you crank the degrade knob, you can hear the repeats ascending and descending in pitch and the tone take up a character of some ancient equipment. You can dial it back all the way from there of course.

Analog gives you that rounded, warm tone.

Lofi can provide a different kind of distory degredation.

Reverse, pretty self explanatory.

Cranking the repeats can even get you the self oscillation that keeps degrading and going crazy as it goes on.

I love it, if you got the money for it, and a tap function that's a little hard to get to, doesn't bother you, go for it. Recommended.

Seriously challenging my TC Flashback

Pete-plays-guitar, 06.09.2017
Already having a TC Flashback I was hesitant on getting this unit. I purchased it mainly from watching 'the Tube' videos and hearing the analogue delays which this can produce.
This pedal can do what the newer TC Flashback 'mash' feature does. The tap tempo, hold and Division features let you quickly find the delay you want. The Tape delay gives a very non-digital sounding representation of a tape delay, not sounding like delay with just a bit of Modulation added on top. I have to admit I don't use the Lo-Fi delay much, but These seem to be coming back in fashion with the new Wampler 'Doctor' pedal and such. The reverse is what it is, a standard reverse delay, not much to be said.
The pedal, as all Digitech pedals, is well build and feels very sturdy. The double pots means that you don't have a dozen knobs to tweak and the complementary functions are on the same 'multi-knob'.
The switch is silent switching, so no clunks. Soundwise, this pedal is on par if not better with much more expensive competitors.
As I have found though, this pedal has become more of a companion to my Flashback, rather than a replacement, with each adding their own special nuances.

All in all, this is highly recommended.
