Great device with only one limitation
CAGS, 07.01.2018
The CME WIDI Bud works great as advertised. Very easy to use with small footprint.

The only limitation I have found and confirmed with CME support is that MIDI SysEx messages are limited to 256 Bytes due internal buffers. Meaning that if you need to transfer long data, it will no work. Unfortunately this is not mentioned anywhere in the specifications and I had to do a lot of troubleshooting to find out why my data transfers were failing.

All other MIDI Messages work great as they are very small. For that reason I must give 4 stars. My application included transferring the SysEx messages.

Does the job as advertised!
Aleksei T., 22.01.2018
This little thing does the job as advertised. Plug it into your computer and connect you wireless keyboard to it via MIDI over BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). In my case, I needed to connect Korg Microkey Air, so I needed to download the software application called WIDI Plus?it also allows to easily update the firmware on the dongle.
Pros: Small. Easy to use.
Cons: I did have a bit of trouble with connectivity, and sometimes a few notes were lost. My guess is that it has to do with interference. Still figuring this one out.
Overall, it does the job. The latency is barely noticeable also. So I would easily recommend this to anyone using Microsoft Windows 7 since that does not support BLE natively and will require it for connecting wireless bluetooth instruments such as the above mentioned Korg Microkey Air.

Does the job, but expensive and limited compatibility
Gajdzin, 01.08.2018
For a little USB plug that probably costs $1 to manufacture this is ridiculously expensive and begs a question why Bluetooth keyboards made by CME can't talk to standard Bluetooth on a Windows laptop, like they can to iOS devices.
