Quality and value in a sturdy package

I ordered this one to use with a new pedal board assemble. I need the AC to power my Studio V3 TubeAmp. I also ordered the Mada (international socket adaptor) to use as a wall plug for my Jamman Stereo adaptor at 1.3A. Works perfectly with a bit of cable tie security on the plug.

Great built, heavy duty, trully build like a tank. (It's heavier than the pedalboard itself)

The manual could be a bit more detailed about the switches.

It has 2 AC outlets at 800 mA but in the manual recommends to use only one, so if you intend to use both of them I would recommend caution.

The only issue I didn't solve yet is that the mash up function on my Flashback 2 didn't work yesterday, but it could be something entirely different. I will come with an update if I find that the power supply is responsible for that.

Very good product but the manual could be better.

I needed a new power supply for my pedalboard because the old one, a T-Rex Fuel Tank Classic, was having too much problems with noise (I've now realised that the T-Rex is really just a glorified daisy chain as the outputs aren't seperately isolated).

I needed something relatively compact to fit under my pedalboard and it needed to have output for one 12V AC pedal in addition to being able to power at least 7 standard 9V DC pedals.

The Cioks AC Rider was perfect. Gone are the noise issues of the T-Rex Fuel Tank. The AC Rider has been working great for me in every environment I've used it.

There are however two minor cons that prevents me from giving full marks:

1) Although a selection of cables are included with the AC Rider they might not be the cables you actually NEED. To be able to connect all the pedals I needed (1 12V AC + 7 standard 9V DC) I had to buy a separate daisy chain cable. Cioks use unusual plugs on their cables (something resembling an RCA connector at the end that connects to the power supply). This means you're more or less forced to buy Cioks' own cables (which is probably the idea...). The problem with this is that the extra cables come at highly inflated prices. They're not expensive enough to be a dealbreaker but around 8 Euros for a tiny 3-way daisy chain is a bit excessive! At the cost of this product I would expect all necessary cables to be included.

2) The manual isn't the best I've seen. It's a bit confusing how many pedals you can actually connect at a time because you actually can't use all the inputs simultaneously and voltage settings are set in pairs which may not always be USED in pairs. You will probably find that you'll need to purchase one of those expensive extra daisy chain cables to cover your needs. Actually, if you don't need to buy any extra daisy chain cables you probably don't need this product at all but can get a smaller, less expensive model instead!

These are only minor annoyances though. The power supply works great, has no noise issues whatsoever and has a very solid build quality.

I highly recommend this product but will strongly recommend that you DOWNLOAD AND READ THE MANUAL BEFORE BUYING to make sure you know the exact specs and which additional cables you will need to buy to make it work for you.
