An amazing piece of software
mikelodyr, 14.08.2019
I love this software I use it in nearly every session. It's so easy to use, just like using MIDI for audio. It does a fantastic job tuning vocals while still maintaining the natural sound of the vocal take. The scope for adjusting the pitch of a take is very versatile with the pitch drift tool, you can find a balance that suits you between that fully auto-tuned T Pain sound or something as simple as dragging notes that drift a little too much out back to somewhere like 50cents sharp or flat of the desired note to keep that natural sound.

The fact that you can also reduce or increase the volume of sibilance and notes in general means it's like having a manual compressor and de-esser. You can chop up audio what ever way you want, stretch out the audio to increase or decrease the length of a note and also time correct it.

It has a polyphonic feature which I love using for re-routing electric guitar. It has the ability to identify each individual note from a played chord. I put my guitar take into melodyne, tidy it up and time correct it then put it back through my DAW.

There is so much more that you can do with melodyne that I am still learning, but possibilities for this software are endless and it has contributed a lot to improving the quality of my work. 5 stars for me and would highly recommend!!

Impressive
14.03.2017
I chose Melodyne to rework audio tracks (vocals and instruments like guitar and bass). It's amazing the ability to break down the audio signal into drops (equivalent notes). We find the different agreements played with the distinctions between the fundamental, third, ...

It helps me in the realization of mock-up and in the finalization of the pieces before mix.

Easy to use (I use it in plug in on cubase), it is not too resource-intensive on a track. And used on several tracks simultaneously, it passes. It still depends on the configurations of your post (me it i7, 32go RAM, 3.5 ghz, ...).

It allows precise adjustments over time, in quantization or not. Adjustments in tone. Melodyne positions each note on the vertical scale range and allows you to view the note pitch differences. I even noticed that the floor string did not hold a 6-minute song. The same note is not positioned at the same height at the end of the piece (vintage Gibson mechanics ... but this is not the subject).

You can increase, decrease the note amplitude. To add by simple copier-paste, and other classic tools of the edition, ... mmm ... to arrange bends, hammers, ...

I did not think to raise my guitar level by making mouse clicks ....

After, do not overdo it to the risk of losing the natural essence of your game and get qqch of tasteless.

We can also complement his score on the basis of the ranges proposed by Melodyne (Greek, Hungarian, ...)

In stand alone mode, you can use the tempo management option: tempo recognition, tempo adjustments (you can not do it in plug in).

I did not use it in rewire.

And the nice thing is that you can extract an audio track at noon. This allows a partition editor (I use cubase and gpro6) to recognize it and edit it, which is sometimes tedious to retranscribe by hand. It is necessary to "clean" under Melodyne sometimes the audio track if you record it with effects (including saturation) to edit a correct partition because Melodyne detects everything from harmonics to parasitic sounds ...

In summary, I can only highly recommend.
