I've had a Selmer S10 for 25 years, with which I played in a band and then privately for myself. After a few years of play pause, again started and remained with joy. However, it has now been said that the approach of the old S10 left something to be desired and the sound actually never quite right (always something too deep, also with short bulb). So something new. During the research, there was little experience from users who were helpful. Almost only sales pages without much text.
After a month of waiting the buffet was finally there. Immediately unpacked, started and los gings. A pleasure. A light response, full of sound, jazz, classical, Klezmer ... that is what I always heard before my mind, but I could not play on my Selmer in that laziness. The key arrangement leads to even more gaming pleasure. Of course, I expect this from an instrument of this price class, here it was met in the best way. If one does not ignore a beauty defect, that the Presitge coat of arms is not completely flattened into the wood, the clarinet is perfectly processed. Therefore also 5 stars from me. The S10 is now entering the bay.

Buffet, it is also a national pride, because it is one of the French companies that exports the best abroad.
With the exception of Germany, which has its specific system, virtually the must of clarinettists around the world play Buffet.
I played during my musical studies a C12 study, absolutely great for a beginner, with a professional clarinet sound.
And now I play on this Prestige RC. An excellent versatile clarinet with a well rounded sound.

The only fault that I find may be the throat notes that are too high ... It takes a lot to pull the barrel ..
Finally, and after 2 years of intensive use, I never split my clarinet, even sometimes exposing it to extreme situations of cold and humidity.
