I bought the bigsby for an Epiphone dot that I am upgrading. The bigsby is very well made and was essy to fit (drilling holes in any guitar is a bit daunting so there was a bit of double checking). I also changed the tune a matic bridge for a Wilkinson roller bridge hopefully this will reduce string breakages. The service from Thomann was first class and would recommend them to anyone

Fiable y robusto

Este puente-vibrato de bigsby sale con un precio muy competitivo debido a la procedencia de su fabricación, pero no tiene nada que envidiar a su igual hecho en Estados Unidos. El material de fundición parece igual de robusto y funciona con igual precisión.

Personalmente, lo he instalado en una Gibson ES-335 del año 1972 con suma facilidad y con su uso la guitarra no pierde la afinación.

Un aspecto a tener en cuenta cuando se instala en este tipo de guitarra es que se pierde la toma de tierra, puesto que esta va conectada al tail-piece (el cual se sustituye por nuestro Bigsby), por lo que se hace necesaria una alternativa para suplirlo.

Yo lo solucioné instalando una pequeña barilla cromada entre el tornillo del tail-piece donde está conectada la tierra y el puente de la guitarra propiamente dicho. Así eliminé ese incomodo zumbido que produce una guitarra eléctrica sin toma de tierra conectada al cordal.

Habe mir das Bigsby gekauft und auf eine Epiphone ES-295 montiert. Der Vorbesitzer hatte dieses entfernt.
Über die Montage kann ich nicht viel sagen, da ich die alten Bohrlöcher verwenden konnte.
Wenn man vorher ein Trapeze Tailpiece an der Gitarre hatte und dann das B-700 verwendet verändert sich der Winkel der Saitenführung (von der Umlenkrolle des Bigsby zur Bridge, in diesem Fall). Das war bei der ES-295 eine klangliche Verbesserung, der Ton wurde percussiver und definierter.
Die Feder des Bigsby ist zu hart. Das machen andere Hersteller besser. So sind bei sachter Benutzung keine großen Veränderungen in der Tonhöhe bemerkbar. Also muss ordentlich Kraft eingesetzt werden. Kann Tempo kosten.
Die Verarbeitung ist ansonsten ok.
