I purchased this for studio use as I really love the Beyer M88 microphone for vocals. In live situations it doesn't matter because "pop" noises from vocals aren't that noticeable but in studio every little blowing in the microphone can be heard easily. When I recieved the item I was pretty suprised because it is really big - this thing swallows half of the microphone. The foam layer is also pretty thick, but not very dense so it allows to the sound to go thru. Unfortunately some big "pop"s will also make it to the microphone but nowhere near as much as with random foam I had on the mic before. (Maybe it's something they can't improve without losing the transparency in tone so I'll give it 5 stars anyway.) Big plus is that the foam sits nicely around the microphones grille and is secured with a tiny strap and a button. Overall it is a good product - maybe just a bit pricey but you can feel the quality.

One might wonder why a simple looking windscreen should cost 24EUR. If one packs the WS59 one becomes clear its size: The part is 11cm high and has nearly 8cm diameter!
So the M88 looks now also after bass drummikro aus, a singer I would like it however not more to the mouth hold. The windscreen has an effect, the opening is slotted and provided with a leather strap with push button, so that the insertion of the microphone is simplified. In practice, the windbreak has proven to me when using an M88 in the bassdrum.
