Superb sound quality, perfect combination with Beyerdynamic A20.

Although got some minor cosmetic wear on the headphone, but Thomann after-service is friednly and promise me to get a new replacement.

An absolute top-hearter, the cable plays a blunt prank

Jan Grimm, 21.02.2017
In advance: The T1 is of course very well processed. The cable also, but not the last 10 centimeters of the cable and the idea of ??Beyer, the cable so short in the package that programmed cable breaks, I find not particularly good. This is already my second T1 from Thomann and my third overall. All three still have cable breaks on the plug, because the cable and plug was rolled up in such a small spiral that it was already broken. It was me after the second Thomann-T1 but simply too stupid to send back the thing again, so that next time I find the same situation again and ultimately no further. If the cable is correct, it also makes no problems or evoke no worse signal transmission. But it is annoying nevertheless!

Sound: A very detailed sound picture, which reminds me of the color in my opinion first the DT 990 (I own almost all Beyer headphones), but with the neutrality of the 880. Highly detailed basses, well-balanced and well-audible mids are rounded off with brilliant (but soft) highs overall to a very good listening experience. The T1 creates a very large sound stage. He also plays a very good role in the room. In conjunction with my Fostex HP A8C as DAC / KHV an absolutely incomparable sound experience!

Wear comfort: As a software developer and occasional sound technician, it is very important that the headphones that you carry during your work do not press or become unpleasant after a while. The negative example for me at this point is the K701 of AKG. Of course this is always anatomical, but the K701 pushes with me after only a few minutes (<15 minutes), so I have to post this after half an hour, a maximum of an hour (afterwards, but ALL the headphones on the head hurt!) Which is quite a shame as I like the K701).
Beyerdynamic, on the other hand, provides the parade example. No specific model is meant, but in general. Except for the T70, which occasionally presses on the headband something (aushaltbar), all Beyer carry perfectly over hours. Especially the T1 represents the ideal for me with the comfort of wear: you are worn for hours, almost forget that he is still sitting on his head, you do not have to move earpoxes over time, or reposition / reposition, you leave him and listen Music As long as you want. And even after a 14-hour PC-tag with T1 (this is not too common, but I remembered this particular day with regard to wear comfort) is the only thing that does not sit well, the hairstyle (because that is Now flat) (but this is quite excusable).

The T1 has accompanied me on this day almost uninterruptedly, without which I would have even had the desire to drop him for at least 3 minutes.

For me a completely successful headphones (except for the extremely badly thought out cable rolls in the pack), which can play its full potential with sufficient power (therefore the Fostex HP A8C) and therefore should be fired. The efficiency is not particularly high, so the headphone amplifier in the respective device must have enough power (only for the volume, not to mention the sound), so that you can hear anything at all. (Funly connected to the iPhone and final but glad that the iPhone still lives, the latter has barely a tönchen rausbekommen)

Amazingly, I finally conclude that the T1 itself on my portable DAC FiiO E17K Alps II (170 euros) still absolutely good (good: no more, not less) sounds. Of course, the T1, not least because of its open construction, is not particularly public-friendly, but the only possibility to take it on vacation without having to drag directly the whole complex including Accuphase-Amplifiers, makes it simply more attractive .
