Die Cleanbox wandelt symetrische und unsymetrische Signale um (in beide Richtungen) und hat einen eingebauten Aufholverstärker. "Consumer Level" Signale (-10dBV) können daher leicht an "Pro-Level" (+4dbU) bei längeren Signalwegen angeschlossen werden. In meinem Fall wollte ich die Soundkarte meines Mac der in einem Technikraum (ca. 15 Meter entfernt) steht für Youtube Videos, schnelles abhören von Files, etc. direkt an einen passiven MonitorController Studio anschließen um über die Monitorboxen abzuhören ohne jeweils über hochwertige Wandler gehen zu müssen (und diese zu blockieren). Das funktioniert problemlos.

Das Gerät tut was es soll, jedoch darf man sich vom Klang nicht zuviel erwarten.
