Ich hatte den Trilian und Metal Ray5 in der Auswahl. Da ich aber die Vielfalt des Trilian eigentlich nicht benötige sondern in erster Linie einen Bassisten für Rock, Metal und Funk der härtern Sorte gesucht habe ist der Metal Ray5 mein neuer Bassist geworden.

Er klingt ziemlich authentisch, schön schnoddrig scheppernd und im Mix absolut real. Zudem reagiert er wesentlich dynamischer auf Veränderungen der Anschlagsstärke. Während sich beim Trilian Slap lediglich die Lautstärke ändert, der Ton/Sound aber praktisch gleich bleibt, kann der Ray5 hier voll überzeugen. Der Ton kommt von leichtem Klopfen bis zum fetten Basshammer.

Lobenswert ist auch, dass er wenig Rechenleistung und RAM benötigt. Während der Trilian gerne 1,3 GB(!) frisst begnügt sich der Ray5 mit rund 285 MB.

Insgesamt - klare Empfehlung!
