Allparts Omega Bass Bridge

Die alte Bad Ass II Bridge hat zu recht einen seit Jahrzehnten ungebrochenen guten Ruf. Leider wird sie auch schon ziemlich lange nicht mehr hergestellt, was die Preise für gebrauchte Exemplare teilweise in unverschämte Regionen schießen lässt. Zum Glück gibt es die Omega von Allparts, die eine exakte Kopie der Badass darstellt. Lässt sich leicht installieren und funktioniert hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das verbesserte Sustain.

Similaire au Badass II

J'ai acheté ce chevalet pour le monter sur une basse B.C. Rich Mockingbird US de 1979. Je souhaitais remplacer le Badass I qui ne permettait pas de baisser suffisamment l'action. Je possède également un Badass II.
Ce chevalet est une copie presque parfaite du Badass II. La forme est quasiment identique.
J'ai choisi un modèle ayant déjà des pontets striés. Cela évite de devoir faire creuser des gorges.
Je n'ai strictement rien à reprocher au chevalet en lui-même qui remplit bien son rôle. Je ne ressens aucune différence de son avant et après le montage.
Cependant, les vis fournies avec le chevalet sont de qualité médiocre. L'une d'elles s'est cassée. Elle est restée bloquée dans le bois. Le métal est de très mauvaise qualité. Heureusement, j'ai pu utiliser des vis originales de Badass II qui sont de bien meilleure qualité.

C'est vrai... on se demande toujours "mais comment le chevalet peut agir sur comme notre instrument va sonner ?", et avec l'expérience et l'entraînement à l'oreille, on sent la différence !

Beaucoup de gens associent "chevalet hi mass" avec "sustain"... ce n'est pas vraiment ça qu'il se passe. Une note ne dure pas magiquement plus longtemps comme ça. A mon sens, ce chevalet va compresser l'attaque que vous faites à vos cordes, afin d'équilibrer votre jeu, et l'articuler d'une manière plus intelligible !

Ca fonctionne !! Et ça reste malgré une question de goût, en aucun cas c'est mieux ou moins bien.

Attention cependant, ce chevalet n'est pas compatible avec les manches dont le profil est bas par rapport au corps de la basse. Si votre manche ne dépasse pas beaucoup du haut de votre corps, les pontets ne pourront pas aller bas pour une action basse; qui va bien souvent conjointement avec ce type de chevalet.

A vous l'attaque à la Geddy Lee !! Pour terminer : ce chevalet est une copie parfaite du Badass Bass II ! Inutile de l'importer des USA.
