Tiny (great) but limited

Four inputs in such a small/cheap package- amazing. Usb-c: great. Music and sound quality: great. If you just want to feed four channels into a DAW like logic and nothing else: great. But there are a bunch of big limitations: functionality wise it is a big step down from e.g. a focusrite.

Cheap plastic lightweight build quality: quite bad.

Not being able to mix input (clicktrack?) with monitor levels is a deal breaker for me.

Not having 48V phantom to power condensor mics is an even bigger dealbreaker.

You cannot mute channels, you cannot choose which channels appear on your monitor/headphone and there is no separate gain for your line out and headphone (there is one control for both which is a big problem in any live situation). Also in 'music' mode inputs 1/2 -> output A, 3/4 -> output B which means you cannot monitor all tracks from one channel which is absolutely unhelpful.

So small, so light, so powerful!

I have a Focusrite Scarlett myself and bought this for the school I work in for recording Podcasts. The 4 combi inputs were really appealing! I must say, for the price range I didn't expect it to be so good.

Powered and connected to laptop via the same USBC cable, even when Phanton Power is on. The "streaming" button makes my life so much easier rather than editing each track separately.

Completely portable! A top buy!

It is very simple to operate and you can record anywhere very handy you can put it inside your pocket and go anywhere to record. No need for additional power supply the cellphone can power up the interface. Good sound.

Ich suchte ein Audio Inferface für iPad/iPhone und Mac, was das Zoom AMS-44 bietet.

Was mir besonders gefallen hat:
- kleine Größe und geringes Gewicht, kaum größer als ne Zigarettenschachtel und auch kaum schwerer 😂👍🏻
- Betrieb mit 2 normalen AA Batterien/Akkus möglich —> die hat man immer mal zur Hand und kann somit auf das Netzteil verzichten bzw. schont den Handyakku
- Gute wertige Verarbeitung trotz Kunststoff
- Platzsparend und dennoch sicher verpackt
- USB-Kabel liegt bei
- Audio-Qualität/Rauschen deutlich besser als beim Roland Go:Mixer Pro-X
- Anzahl der Anschlüsse für die Größe top! Sehr vielseitig!
- 2 x 3,5mm Klinke Kopfhörerauagänge mit separater Lautstärkeregelung und separater 6,3mm Stereo-Ausgang
- Eingänge 3&4 als Stereo schaltbar—> perfekt für mein e-Piano! 😎🎹🎶
- Loopback-Funktion!

Was mir nicht so gefallen hat:
- Preis mit 170€ etwas teuer, 120€ wären angemessener. Produkt ist aber erst seit Juli 2022 aufm Markt, vllt sinkt der Preis noch
- Rauschen besser als bei anderen getesteten Audio Interfaces deutlich besser aber dennoch vorhanden und störend. Besserung half z.B. den Gain der Eingänge fürs e-Piano deutlich runterdrehen und dafür Ausgangslautstärke am e-Piano deutlich rausdrehen. Dann ist es besser und bissl Gefummelt, aber das (Grund-)Rauschen bleibt, selbst wenn sonst nicht angeschlossen ist

Am Ende haben mich dann aber die Vielfältigkeit in so einer kleinen Größe überzeugt! 😎👍🏻😉
