With the (rather simple) mouthpiece of my old Bari-Sax I had first a few initial difficulties, which are quickly with the change to the original Yanagisawa mouthpiece expedited quickly. Then, in the lower octave, the gentle response and the rich and warm (deep) tones convinced me. In my opinion, the baritone saxophone usually has a slightly superficial tone, but the B-991 also requires a somewhat more precise approach and a little practice.
Well, after playing the B-991 for some time at home, it is noticeable that the change between my Yanagisawa A-901 (Alto Sax) to the B-991 Bari and also back does not cause any conversion difficulties. The arrangement of levers, buttons, rockers and flaps is very ergonomic for me and the mechanics are solid and absolutely light.
However, I can do without the narrow, simple carrying strap included. This is only a substitute procurement.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the robust case with its two practical handles (horizontal / vertical carrying) is also advantageous, especially for narrow aisles and stairs.
With the Yanagisawa B-991 I am completely satisfied.
