About Yamaha

For decades, Yamaha has been one of the world’s best-known manufacturers of musical instruments and audio technology. The Japanese company’s long history began at the end of the 19th century with the harmonium. The product range has constantly expanded since then, which has made Yamaha one of the few manufacturers today to offer almost the entire range of existing musical instruments: From upright and grand pianos to guitars, wind instruments, and bowed string instruments and from drums and percussion to electronic keyboards and synthesizers. Yamaha is also a major force in the field of audio engineering as a manufacturer of mixing consoles, amplifiers, PA systems, and more. Yamaha's guiding principle is to combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.

The all-rounder

Whether you're a solo entertainer getting the audience pumped with the latest hits, accompanying a choir, touring with a band, or tweaking a production in the studio: The Yamaha Genos is ready for anything. With its outstanding sound and extensive features unmatched among arranger keyboards, it is a reliable companion for ambitious keyboard players and entertainers in any situation. Thanks to the 9-inch touch screen, the Genos is easy to operate at all times, so that everything goes smoothly in the hustle and bustle of a performance.

In the spotlight: Revo

The Yamaha Geno's Revo drum kits provide particularly realistic drum tracks. They have several samples for each key, which are played in turns. This makes the drums sound slightly different with every touch and avoids the infamous "machine gun effect". The end result are exceptionally vivid drum tracks, the like of which have never been seen before in a Yamaha keyboard.

Great for One Man Band!!!
Rado223 20.01.2020
I am using this instrument as an one man band performer on cruise ship and for home recording.
After a one month of using I am highly satisfied specialy with the sound and handling. The styles are beautifully arranged, very useable. Only things that coud be better are Sequencer, the editing is really very basic and the second things is a build quality. I understand that They were trying keep the instrument light , but still I will prefer more durable aluminium body in this price range.
The last thing is a price, it is very expensive, for an full plastic instrument with no hammer action.

Overall it is a great instrument with great sound and if money is not a problem I definitely recommend it.

PR
fantastic instrument
Philippe Rebecq Belgium 23.11.2020
Sold my Tyros to buy a Genos and now I am in heaven.....

The rest of my life will be needed to exploit fully this incredible instrument. Also lots of tutorials are avaible on You tube.

Pros: no limit to your imagination. Incredibly realistic sounds, very good Thomann service.

Cons: - Some features available but not in a very logical way, hence work around necessary (ex to stop individual multipads, freeze left part voices... etc)
- Some issues with USB sticks (could be the sticks) not recognized or in apparent random order...Again work around available...

Marat Kabzhanov 15.02.2023
I have bought Yamaha Genos for myself. And I really proud of my shopping! Awesome sounds, drums sound realistically, and many opportunities for live performance and for home studio. I recommend it to all my friends, and thankful to Thomann for fair costs! I am going to buy second one for my studio!
