Versatile, effective and robust!
Mario Legato, 26.10.2012
I have already played the Robotalk 1 of Xotic in the bass version for a few years, and was satisfied. However, I missed a few features that the Robotalk 2 has. That's why I bought it myself, and I am completely satisfied.
The most important controller for me is the blend control, with which one can mix the effect signal and the unprocessed signal. Thus, no "low-end" is lost in the bass insert, or the "low-end" portion is controllable.
The other Potis all work flawlessly. Nothing rustles, scratches or produces other noise.
In the interior, the Robotalk 2 has the additional option of processing the bass frequencies through 4 mini-switches. So you can pre-adjust the use with guitar, keyboards or bass much better ... but unfortunately inside, so you have to unscrew the thing.
The two effects units differ fundamentally, in the middle frequency range (frequency range can be adjusted via the resonance potentiometer). The consequence of this is that the two units also sound differently. Both but very good, and in the bass insert absolutely sensible ... one slightly higher, and one a little deeper in the mids.
Decay and Sensitivity respond very far, and just as I expect at least from such a regulator.

Perhaps there are "more aggressive" envelope filters ... eg Mutron, Mxr or Emma Electronics, but I know at least one of the most versatile as the Robotalk.

All in one ... Satisfied + !!

It would be fair to say that the development of the wah-wah pedal has been somewhat experimental over the years.
