A very strange pedal that lives up to it's name. Somewhere between a fuzz, a phaser, a flanger and a noise generator. This pedal is good for one thing only: making huge and dirty sounds!
Forget about using it in subtle and gentle way, it is just not made for that!
The faders are really well built and seem solid, and the look of this thing is fantastic. Hard to fit on a pedal board as this guy will eat up the others. I recommend using it in a studio setting. Works very well with Moog synths, short scale basses and guitars!

Okay, also das Pedal ist nicht für jeden. Ich persönlich benutze hauptsächlich OD / Boost und Distortion vom Amp. Fuzz find ich super, mochte aber immer abgefahrene Fuzz sounds als die Klassiker. Fuzz Face find ich cool, brauche ich aber nicht wirklich. Muff-artiges gefällt mir nicht.
Das Atreides ist im Prinzip ein Envelope Filter, Fuzz, Sub und Phaser in einem. Die Effekte sind so abgestimmt, dass sie zusammen interagieren und abgefahrene, chaotische und nicht kontrollierte / kontrollierbare sounds abgeben. Es hat einen eigenen Sound. Ich persönlich finde diesen Sound richtig richtig gut. Die Regler lassen sich so adjustieren, dass der Sound sich deutlich ändern lässt, aber er bleibt immer "krass". Wobei ich auf diskreten Settings mit Wah nach dem Gerät Klassiker wie Voodoo Chile gut spielen kann. Man hört dass es ein irgendwie kaputter Fuzz sound ist, es passt musikalisch aber auf diskreten settings gut in den psychedelic Rock Kontext. Und für absolute Zerstörungsriffs hat man VIEEEL Luft nach oben um wirklich den Raum zum beben zu bringen. Ich hab es wirklich auf meinem Board und ich nehm's da auch nicht mehr runter, weil es alles an Fuzz liefert was ich brauche und den Effekt in ein wirklich kaputtes Territorium führt, wo er m.E. ganz gut rein passt. Verarbeitung 1A. Ein Nischenprodukt was mich sehr glücklich macht.
