Buy with caution

14.08.2016
Bought this because I love Warwicks (have had a thru neck thumb for 16 years) but wanted something a bit more classic looking to play in a blues rock band. Thomann were the only place selling them and I couldn't afford a Streamer CV.

The set up wasn't amazing but it initially performed well and I was very happy with the sound. However disaster struck after I got it out to play at a quite high profile gig to find the action had increased massively - the neck had slipped.

I took it to an excellent luthier who found that the screws had stripped out from the body due to a very short neck pocket and short screws. This necessitated routing and inlaying stronger wood (wenge) and longer screws. It now seems to be fine but time will tell.

This would appear to be a design issue as opposed to a quality control one so I would be very wary about purchasing this bass.

Modern Preci with weak

bassstoffel, 24.07.2016
The first take in the hand, surprise, feels beautiful. Flix, I had to adjust however:
The bridge bridges were loose.
-The octave purity.
(here bad problems, later on)
The neck is only very thin with paint pimples (taste)
The curved (Spector / Warwick) body plays well, only in sitting, it has a slight head. Is just the lighter alder than body.
The thumb-rest of wood I find very well positioned, it does not interfere with slack, but is depending on the technique of playing is very well.

Positive:
The passive sound control, separated by treble and bass, is a class thing, not a battery!
The heights react only barely noticeable, but in the last half at the poti then correctly at the lowering.
The basses, on the other hand, can be screwed more smoothly, live ne class thing, when it once again on the stage between drunk, you can leave the amp in peace.

Händling very balanced.
P Pickup is really rocky, because the Amp can grow!

Unfortunately, the first bass had some flaws, a pity.
If Warwick would make this bass more refined, the hammer will be on sale.
Old rating with modern bodyfeeling without head - hammer.
Was I NEN an additional J- Pickup of SD and a Rosewood fingerboard on 1 part maple neck with dots. A better processing - Dan was the part.

Negative:
- Neck has too much play in the half-bag, he moves and now and then, if one rocks right on the stage, that can .....
- Necky very rustic? sharp-edged.
- The bridge of the bridge is a sharp edge on the edges when the hand passes from E to G.
- The last covenant is not playable, too far in the body.
- The setting of the bridge, here the bumpers are already at the bottom (lower does not go) and promt one does not get right to the longitudinal screws to the octave purity adjustment. One would therefore have to lower the neck in the bag, so that the latter comes higher, then the bridge higher and thus better to get the screws! Disadvantage, the neck would have even more play in the bag? No Go!
- As a result, the string position can not be lowered with the bridge, then the longitudinal screws would change. in the body!

This was probably a Monday's bass,
