A monsterly bass that's worth way more then this price

The first thing I was really fond of was the sound, this bass hass a real personality. It's able to do lots of things from a soft warm bluesy tone, all the way up to a punchy funk or even metal tone, the sound is incredible, even through a 70$ 10 watt amp. Even my 650$ warwick can't top that.
the quality of the hardware is one of it's weaker points, though it's definately descent for this price range, you sometimes hear some buzzing sounds if you turns the the buttons while the amp is on, the way the buttons are arranged is also a little bit odd, if I'm not mistaking you have a volume for the back and the front pickup, and a master tone, but the volume buttens don't cancel all the volume when you turn them all the way down, only if you also turn the tone off...
the playability is amazing, it plays really comfortable, the strings spacing is perfect (at least for my needs) and the fret lines seem to be all on the right spots.
the machine heads are descent and good looking, but they definately go out of tune faster then more expensive basses.
the pickups (wilkinson) are awesome, they pick up the sound perfectly, and together with the rest of the bass, it articulates amazingly, only problem is that my thumb hurts a little bit from resting it on the pickups, as the corner is a bit sharp, but you'll get used to that, it's not a big problem (at least not for me)
All in all I would definately recommend this bass. I strongly doubt that you'll be able to find any fretless bass that's better then this one for less then 400$
Overall not bad, but... the nut... made of cheapest plastic, very raw. Machine heads are not smooth as You would expect. Supplied with stainless rounded steel strings, You need to spend another £20-30 for strings...
String action supplied very high and completely random factory intonation set. You need to take it to a Luthier or set it on Your own.
The centre of gravity goes to the left gentle, so not balanced very well... Id say Vintage could do bit better. Got an Acoustic guitar V1400N and its brilliant.
