Vibesware GR-Junior II Guitar Resonator, The guitar resonator generates an alternating magnetic field from the pickup signal. When holding the resonator head close to the strings, the vibration is ampliefied. The amplified signal returns to the resonator via the pickups. Thus, a wide variety of feedback tones can be produced that sound very natural. incl. power supply
Well, if you want an occasional feedback/induced harmonics, with a fast attack, which does not keep your right hand occupied (like an Ebow), THINK AGAIN. Nothing of what they have stated in the advertisement it true. 1. This device is much weaker than an Ebow, the attack is very slow, even if I use an old rechargeable weak battery in the Ebow. And I have a MAB1 LAzer guitar with active EMG 81/85 pickups into a Carvin tube amp, which generates an almost endless sustain if played normally. 2. It does not sound too good. Sometimes the induced sound is off key. 3. They say, that one can play normally, and your hand is free. You can play normally, but you won't have any extra sustain nor feedback from the moment you touch the string with the pick, because the feedback you have waited a number of seconds to come suddenly disappear. I guess that guy on the youtube advertisement uses a complete other effect, like a Fernandes or so. COMPLETELY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT So basically, other than throwing your money on a piece of junk and get laughed at at stage, this device has no other purpose. It is useless in a middle of a song, because you have to wait too long for the feedback to appear, and during playing you don't get a feedback, because as you touch the string, even your natural sustain is stopped, which generates odd looks in the listener, because is weird. I do not recommend it no anyone, included the people I don't particularly like.
As a purely digital guitarist i always felt that there's that one final bit of magic missing in the digital amplification, and that is guitar feedback. This item is exactly what i was looking for. Sounds very natural, easy to operate, doesn't degrade the sound when turned off, looks very durable. The only thing missing from the more expensive option is the support for their pedal accessory, but that's a minor thing. Highly recommended piece!
