Small cutlery for the tape test and homerecording

wilinus, 08.10.2016
First for the use of the Le Cruch, with me the pedal as a solution to the home recording (without my family's ears fall) and as a small cutlery for the tape test (directly into the PA).

As a classic Distrortion pedal in front of the amp, I find the Le Crunch rather unsuitable because the sound is strongly colored and the amp can not play its character (unless you want exactly that).

Channel 1:
I would describe channel 1 as a hot cleaner channel, with my strat (AlNiCo3 single coils) you can play nice clean, if you turn the gain is tweaked, I find very nice.
With my Yamaha AES (AlNiCo 3 HB), it gets a bit tight with the pure clean, it tugs quite early, but is tame with the Volume Poti - "Fender Clean" definitely does not go here.

Channel 2:
Sounds very marshall moderate for me, I like very well with my strat and HBs, rocking officially and in the middle, whereby I personalich at Crunch stop.
The sweep knob moves the mids, the function is only audible when the center is fully turned, otherwise the effect is rather minimal to hear, nevertheless a nice feature.

as a general rule:
Effek loop works great and without problems, even truer and / or a compressor before the pedal goes very well. Also great is the possibility to pick the signal dry before the pedal (if it is the amp should be).
Speaker simulation directly into the desk is really good and works perfectly, so you can in the tape test all instruments clean up and can leave the amp at home :-)

I find the ColdFusion mode very good, since the clarity of the channel 1 affects the signal positively. I do not use "Hot Fusion", because I work for Solos with a tug before Le Crunch.

Great features:
Headphone output with Amp simulation is great, so you can use the Le Crunch as a preamp for practicing on the balcony - sound is really good :-) and you need nothing else.

Not so beautiful:
I would also like to test another tube (simple way to influence the principle), but I have no idea how I get to the tube base, without the whole pedal completely disassembled - I find not solved well.

From there directly into the mixer

.Georg., 28.08.2017
In a multi-family apartment, one can unfortunately not play loudly with a band, so all band members have to be placed together on a studios via a mixing console. Space for guitar and bass amp is also in the lack of space. I've been looking for a solution that allows me to feed my electric guitar directly into a mixing console. After many different preamp / ampmodeling pedals I finally arrived at the finish line. It has its own switchable loudspeaker simulation, but if you want to cover many different bands with their characteristic amp / cabinet sounds, you should still have a self-configurable and switchable box simulation, eg AMT Pangaea CP-100 behind (most of the sound is IMHO stop a cabinet). Together, the perfect classic rock tube sound with the respective required cabinet sound. I personally covere with the combi AC-DC, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple etc, just to name a few classic sound examples.

Several other, sometimes even quite favorable Preamp / Ampmodeling pedals are nice, but often do not have a pre-set fuzz or distortion pedal (usually comes out muddy) and are often already strongly toned with their typical cabinet set. The Le Crunch, on the other hand, is a real two-channel tube preamp in the stable pedal housing, can also handle the pedal pedal super, has a switchable box simulator, an FX loop and can be used very universally with subsequent external cabinet simulations.
