Handy rack adapter for mounting random things
I have 2 of these units in my rack, one of them contains a Mac Mini and a MOTU Ultralite MK3 soundcard (which is actually using a rack ear, so the soundcard isn't actually attached to this adapter), and the other contains a Virus TI Snow. For both the Mac Mini and the TI Snow, I used a marker to carefully mark holes and then drilled into the undersides of their cases. Both are very securely mounted, and this adapter worked pretty well for these tasks.
As others have noted, it would be nice if this adapter contained holes in the pattern of VESA 75/100 rather than just randomly placed. For my use-case, this wasn't a big concern, since I was drilling into stuff anyways, but for others, they may be disappointed that the holes aren't aligned to the VESA standard.

Good for the price
Bought it to install smaller outboard gear like golden age project and fmr audio. No excact holes but plenty of holes to get the job done somehow if you are not picky..

Reasonable...
Well this rack shelf was clearly a low cost device and one that does show cost savings. I found that although it does work, I had to align the shelf a bit and the holes were not the best for where I needed them in mounting other gear on the shelf.
Suffice to say that overall it does work and in my case I don't load it up with heavy gear - something I would be careful about and if that was what you need I would look for a stronger better made shelf... there are many around but they do cost more.

Good rack for FMR RNLA
I bought this rack to attach FMR Audio RNLA to it. Fortunately, holes are placed in the right place so I could attach RNLA on the left side. It sits in front and there's about 5mm space on the left side.
Quality is good 4/5. The surface is not perfectly flat but it's bent a bit. Surely any bigger device would fix that because metal is 'bendable' and would fit.
One star less because one ear was bent (I managed to straighten it up with pliers) even though that the box was untouched.

Almost perfect for my needs
Fits properly and seems sturdy. It could do with a bit more holes, but I managed using velcro

A very useful piece of kit.
Incredibly useful piece of kit that can be used to mount many rack-mountable pieces of kit without buying the often expensive rack-mount kits. It can also be used to mount non-rack-mountable kit.

Thon Rack Adapter 1U 25
Even though it looks like a sieve, none of the holes corresponded with the hardware to be attached.
Had to drill it for fitting, other than that it serves its purpose.

Used it for GAP Pre 73. Had to drill holes
I bought this to rack mount 2 GAP pre 73's. The holes didn't line up so I drilled new ones, which is fine as its not an expensive piece. The unit is pretty solid and there was no warping of the metal like other users had experienced. It fit perfectly into a Thon rack. I am very with this and it works. I'd buy it again if needed
