Brauchbares, flexibles Instrumentenmicro
Vitda, 16.04.2021

Positiv verblüfft / Very pleasantly surprised
Majiken, 31.03.2021
(English)
The Lucan CC 200 is a surprisingly good-sounding mic, to my ears comparing favorably with mics costing 4 times as much (and nobody expects DPA-performance at this price point, right?). Very low noise level, construction of the gooseneck and detachable cable (great feature!) very robust, and an XLR phantom adapter (which often costs more from other companies than this entire set) is included.
The German-language Bonedo test mentions that this mic is an allrounder, not pre-EQ’d for a specific instrument; this means that a bit of EQ tweaking will optimize the result. Fortunately, this has nothing to do with “repairing” the sound, but rather fine-tuning. I’ve tested this mic with good success on various acoustic guitars: steel-string, nylon and Dobro- especially pleased with a Suzuki Dobro, which after having had 4 different pickups installed professionally without satisfactory result finally sounds like it should. The gooseneck is “just” long enough, I would prefer if the clamp on the excellent new holders would open wide enough to fit the part where the cable plugs in instead of the gooseneck itself, but that’s not the fault of the mic….. All told, this is highly recommended for stage and project studio use at an unbeatable price!
