Good package, handling in need of improvement
Marc3929, 21.02.2014
Features:
The set comes with a 4-channel mixer amp, two 10" speakers, a microphone and cables.
Everything you need to immediately start using it is there. You connect the speakers with the mixer, plug in an instrument, a laptop etc. and start making music.
I use it in my 20m² practice room and the amp delivers more than enough volume to play the drums to a play along via the speakers.

Sound:
The sound is quite okay for this price, it could have more bass and heights, but I did not expect audiophile quality. For my purposes more than enough.

Quality:
The casing for the plugs on the back of one of the speakers got torn out after a few weeks, but the speaker works nevertheless.
The quality of the mixer is good, i got no troubles there at all.
The microphone's quality is very poor, so I would not use it for singing, maybe for speeches or something like that it would work.

If you are looking for an inexpensive PA and four channels are enough for you, I would recommend this Package. Note that there are no stands included.

Fool me twice...
Tom5474, 01.08.2016
I should have realised that this would end badly when my new PA arrived and there was no sound from it. After completing the return process, a new package arrived and this time it worked.
I never gigged the PA; it was used for practice about once every two months.
Now, just two years later this amp has packed up.
Very, very disappointing, Thomann.

Not a bad unit for the money
Mambo_machine, 28.12.2018
When I bought this, the unit was "hissing" a lot especially when I turned the volume knob. Thomann graciously and instantly sent me out a new board to replace it and the problem went away. So I have to give Thomann 100% for that amazing customer service. The unit itself is actually not bad, but I wouldn't use it for gigs or busking. It's I think better for people who are starting out... don't have a lot of cash and just need a little bit of amplification for a budget price. As a start off ... its worth the money IMO.

Great as a first PA system
09.09.2014
It takes a lot of damage and is easily repairable. If you're not sure about using a PA, this is a great price to try out a PA, get value for money, learn how to use a PA and then upgrade to a better setup if necessary.

The reverb effect on it is laughable. Be aware that it is a mono device. There is no pan. What comes out of the left speaker is exactly the same as what comes out of the right speaker.

Practise PA for home
teehanstef, 09.01.2018
I bought this to use as a practice PA for home. Sound quality is decent enough for a small little unit and has been actually good enough to play at small intimate gigs. We got a four piece through it one night and although we thought she would struggle she manged to get us through a small gig. I wouldnt really depend on it too much and probaly best used for an event like Bingo or a meeting rather than a gig.

the t.amp PA 4080 Package
13.03.2015
Great value for money. Does what it says on the tin. Solid built. Much louder than I was expecting and the quality of sound considering the cost is really good. Only real negative is the reverb which really does let it down but all in all I'm very pleased with it.

Small, low volume.
Mikael5854, 30.10.2015
For a small room and low volume practicing this set might be ok, but you get what you pay for. The channels only have Tone buttons, but the master part has a three band eq.

My first band had something similar twenty years ago, that sounded a lot better though.

For the money it's a great work horse
James Clayton, 09.12.2017
Bought this for rehearsing with a drum kit, running two guitars, vocal, bass and backing tracks through it. It's pleasantly surprised me at how well it's stood up for sound quality and overall volume. Pretty decent purchase if you've got a tight budget. Wouldn't recommend for gigging anything more than an acoustic duo unless you've got additional speakers/amps/mixer.

Great Rig
Ian1562, 24.02.2014
My grandaughter tested this out at her first gig. Once she'd balanced the backing tracks with her vocals it went great. The equipment performed great, loud enough without being fully turned up in a pub, so very pleased with the rig. It's not the first time I've been satisfied with equipment from Thomann, well done Thomann.

A good starter PA
26.11.2015
I've used this with a small acoustic duo. It works okay for small gigs (up to 50 people), though you should upgrade the speakers if playing to bigger audiences.

It feels rigid and we now use the desk with our bigger PA and it has survived a couple of gigs now.

Replace the cables (1/4" jacks) as they are too flimsy for live gigs.

It is ok for the money!
Nikolaos F., 23.08.2016
I used it mainly for vocals and synths with my rock band in our drummer's house.
The sound is loud and you will hear the voices fine in a room with drums played moderately.
I also used it for small live gigs and it did the job fine.
Sound quality is ok for the money! The wattage output is loud enough for indoor gigs with 2 guitars and 2 voices at small venues. This PA is not suitable for a full band live. A very positive and helpful feature is the 2 high quality speaker stands. Unfortunately, without too much use, one channel out of the 4 this PA provides has stopped functioning. The rest 3 are still doing ok for now.

Great Little PA For Rehersals!
19.08.2014
I purchased a t.amp PA 4080 Package over 6 years ago now, and it is still going strong! From the day i got it i put it through its passes facing it off with a very loud drum kit but it would all ways win and come back for more! Like I said it has been in my practice room for 6 yeas now and still works great, as does the microphone and speaker leads it came with! For my money this is one of my best purchases ever as i still get use out of it every day, even if just listening to mp3's through it still sounds great! All in all this is an Awesome bit of kit that WILL last Years! 4.5 out of 5

Very good for the price.
Simonmenorca, 28.06.2015
I think this P.A is excellent for the money,my acoustic guitar straight in sounds very good, but via my Marshall as50d it sounds excellent.
Very loud and good for what I need. Amazing value for money with the stands included.
I did use a sm58 mic rather than the one included.
It's ok for a back up,though.

First PA
Bernie M., 20.12.2013
While not knowing what to expect from this PA I was pleasantly surprised by it. The overall sound quality is good with clear mids and treble. The build quality of the speakers isn't fantastic, with the panel on the back coming loose after about 6 months. A good place to start for a beginner.

Being the cheapest set up that Thomann are selling with cables and a mic for under £130 i wasn't expecting huge things but was pleasantly surprised.
Using it for 2 x vocals with acoustic guitars in practice environment so no real pressure on it. Nice smooth controls, Nice bass, middle and treble, Re-verb is not the best but applying a small amount at a time works ok. Mic supplied is a cheap one but does the job as do the cables. All in all its a great set up for the price for practice, i wouldn't use this for live work unless you were after a set up for karaoke.
Great service from Thomann.

THE T.AMP PA 4080 PACKAGE
Sparky, 14.05.2013
I purchased this package for use as a slave amp to be a monitor system for our PA, it is excellent for the job, and much cheaper than buying a powered monitors, you can link up other speakers as well which gives us good coverage.

It also works well as a basic amp for rehearsing acoustically.

Service as always from Thomann was superb.
