Rehearsal set only

Took it just for rehearsal room only, no ambitions whatsoever.
Since I play for some 15 years, I tuned it and did some tricks and it is sort of playable.
Of course it is cheap, but what did you expect?

Practice makes perfect. Do your dirty work on this and at the moment when you sit at normal set you will feel heaven and play like a God as well. Probably.

A very good set for beginner.
I use it at home, along with my kids.
Also mounted small axial bearings under the cymbals to reduce friction, so they can spin for a long time.

Gutes Einsteiger-Set und nur wenig Auszusetzen

Es ist das erste eigene Schlagzeug unserer 8-jährigen Tochter, die nun seit gut 1,5 Jahren Unterricht hat.

Wir haben es zusammen im Übungsraum im Keller aufgebaut und dabei wenig Probleme gehabt, obwohl wir beide das noch nie gemacht haben. Wichtiger als irgendeine Anleitung fanden wir dabei die Detailfotos auf der Thomann Website, wo wir gut erkennen konnten, wo und wie herum welches Teil hinkommt.

Die Felle der Snare waren bereits bezogen. Die anderen mussten wir selbst anbringen. Das gelang uns auch einigermaßen gut und nach vorsichtigem ersten Stimmen sind wir auch mit dem Klang ziemlich zufrieden. Ich denke jedoch ein Profi könnte noch einiges mehr rausholen als wir.

Insgesamt klingt das Set rund und ist ordentlich laut. Man hört nicht sofort, dass es sich um ein Einsteiger-Set handelt. Vor allem auch die Becken brauchen sich nicht zu verstecken, sondern haben einen angenehmen, durchsetzungsfähigen aber nicht aufdringlichen Sound.

Die Größe ist für unsere Tochter optimal. Durch die etwas niedrigere 20" Bass Drum kommt sie an alles sehr gut ran. Trotzdem ist es nicht klein, sondern ich denke sie kann sicherlich noch viele Jahre daran spielen. Auch als Erwachsener (Laie) fühlt es sich gut an – nicht zu klein. Man sieht schon, dass es kleiner ist als die meisten Schlagzeuge, andererseits ist das für unseren nicht all zu großen Hobbykeller genau richtig.

Die Qualität des Sets ist für den Preis insgesamt gut. An Toms, Snare, Bass Drum und Becken ist nichts auszusetzen. Auch die Lackierung in Schwarz mit Glitzer sieht wirklich super aus. Zusammen mit dem hellen Holz und dem Metall ein echter Hingucker!

Man merkt jedoch auch, dass Tama selbstverständlich an einigen Stellen spart. So ist die Hardware an sich stabil, aber die Muffen, die die einzelnen Teile zusammenhalten, sind innen aus Plastik und halten nicht super fest. Ab und zu ist Nachziehen angesagt. Die mittlere Tom zum Beispiel neigt dazu, sich nach und nach abzusenken. Damit kann man aber leben.

Das einzige wirklich Negative an dem Set ist der Hocker! Auch hier ist die Muffe aus Plastik. Unsere Tochter hält er bei vorsichtiger Benutzung gerade so aus. Bei Erwachsenen sinkt das Rohr sofort ein. Mittlerweile haben wir ein Gaffa-Tape um das Rohr gewickelt und durch die Muffe gequetscht. So hält der Hocker seine Position, lässt sich aber wahrscheinlich nie wieder verstellen. Das hätte Tama sich sparen können und das Set billiger verkaufen, oder einen besseren Hocker dazu packen und etwas teurer. So ist es jedenfalls Schrott – sorry.

Insgesamt ist es ein tolles Set und wir würden es jedem zum Einstieg weiterempfehlen. Jetzt wisst ihr wo die Schwächen sind, könnt sicherlich besser darüber hinwegsehen und werdet dann richtig viel Freude mit dem Set haben!
