Not exactly a modified Tubescreamer, but still awesome!
Phoellix, 09.01.2021
Bought this as I am a big fan of the Alberta overdrive which hasn't left my board for years. What drew me in was the mix knob and the three-way voicing switch which I hoped would allow me to use this pedal as both a booster and a tubescreamer-type overdrive (JRC4558 op-amp!) with more flexibility.

After using it for some time I can say that for the money you pay, this is an exceptional pedal. It's small, very easy to set up and use, and the sound is quite more transparent that you would expect.

However, don't expect a Tubescreamer when you buy it. This pedal does not have that distinct mid-rangey overdrive that tubescreamer clones have. Instead, it has this clear, punchy, and raw overdrive tone that does not add a lot of color to your sound. The three-way voicing switch is also quite subtle, not giving you a massive change in tone between the three positions but still making a difference.

I used this with a super clean amp setup with my strat, which could explain why the effect was so subtle, and in this setup the pedal gave me more juice but kept the tone mostly intact, which I loved. It definitely does not add a unique colour to the tone like the Alberta does but whether that's good or bad is up to you to decide :)

If you're looking for something to add some clear punch to your tone or pair with another juicy overdrive, you won't go wrong with this pedal (only 60 euros!). I pair it with the Alberta overdrive with both a Strat and a Les Paul, and depending on the guitar, it gets you either in Blues heaven or that Hard Rock heaven !

I took of one star from the quality as I saw some messy glue residue inside, which definitely is not expected out of a pedal that used to cost near to 200 euros!

Great Drive at the current price
Sorrythisnameisalreadytaken, 17.12.2020
Amazing pedal.
It is basically a very tamed, very transparent tubescreamer.

It serves exceptionally for three main purposes:

1) Add some bite and nastines to the clean sound (at low levels) or
2) Push the front of a valve amp into overdrive (with level set to high )
3) Both while mixing clean and clipped signal, and using the tone control, fat and mid boosts to refine the interaction between different guitar and amp types...

By itself into a solid-state amp it is probably not a source of mind blowing drives.
It is transparent in the sense that it allows mixing the clean signal to tame the tubescreamer, but it does have an impact in the EQ.

In general a versatile high quality beast of a pedal. Only complaint is the blinding intensity of the red leds.....

wow
Jpr666, 05.02.2021
Got it today. Tried it and thankfully it sounded real good.
I am a long time fan of the Voodoo lab Sparkle drive which is for me the king of drives since its versatile. But its old and heavy used over the years. So I wanted a sort of new trustfull drive with possibilities. Basically I love clean sort of boost. The Sparkle does that and sounds warm. Very warm...but also colours the sound of the guitar.
Well the drive does that also but only in the mid or bass boost setting. But is also opens the sound more. In normal mode it sounds as transparant as clear water.
So this one for me isreally cool. Depending on the vernue I always be able to dial in the sound that works for me (instead of me working for theright sound). So instead of changing pedals for adjusting towards a good sound this Diva Drive is able to get it right with only twiddling the knobs. The mix knob really helps with that.
And....its more touch sensitive and dynamic than the Bluesbreaker (Version I) that I still have and sometimes use.
So, if it is sturdy enough, its gonna be a keeper probably.
When I plugged it in I instandly had this 'WOW' feeling.

5 Stars All Around
Stannat, 28.11.2020
I have been using this pedal for a number of months now and it never disappoints! Can get really clean, creamy to high driven tones out of this! My favorite feature is the Mix knob as this allows to blend in your clean signal from your amp and really dial in your tone. Additionally the pedal has a 3 way boost switch for extra tone shaping.
I would highly recommend this pedal!..Especially for the price! Even thinking of buying a second one for a second pedal board ;)
5 Stars.
