In the course of time, I had already a few headsets on the computer in use (to listen to music, play and to communicate via Teamspeak / Skype).
In the price class up to 50EUR seems to me the HMC-631 as a recommendable.

Depending on the requirements you have and the quality you have known so far, the HMC-631 can either inspire or disappoint.

The HMC-631 I have as a headset for off-house (network meeting / music hang up on birthday parties etc.) and at home I usually use the cheap 20EUR Superlux 681 headphones + Antlion Modmic.

The first thing to notice is the strong noise reduction of the HMC-631 ... the ambient noise is attenuated relatively strongly, which can be viewed as a pro argument in a noisy environment. At the local desk I prefer however somewhat more open models, like the Superlux 681, which the environment is not so strongly suppressed.

In the soundcheck I noticed in the direct comparison to the 681 that the HMC-631 produces good basses and mid-tones, but the heights for my taste to dull over come. At the equalizer of the sound card I can counter-control, but the neutral EQ sounds the 681 clearer and better than the HMC-631. This impression is also reinforced by the smaller stage of the HMC-631. The 681 headphone sounds just bigger, more open and clear.

The HMC-631 microphone is solid and takes my voice clearly, even if the ground noise is clearly audible (this is subjectively but on the same level with my Sennheiser PC150, Plantronics Gamecom 380 or the SteelSeries H4, Ie still within the frame or comparable to other headset microphones).

The headset has on the cable (which is in my opinion solid and long enough) still a volume regulator including microphone-mute switch. A typical weakness in many headsets. The time will show whether this controller also works permanently or has contact problems.

The wearing comfort is good, although I have a big head. The contact pressure in conjunction with the strong isolation of the external noise is, however, a necessity.

All in all, the 20EUR Superlux 681 headphone is superior to the 45EUR Superlux HMC-631 and also in terms of its semi-open design and the slightly lower contact pressure, I prefer the 681 continues.

However, if you are looking for a complete headset instead of a combination of a headphone + additional microphone, the HMC-631 does not do much wrong.

New to this headset I was looking for and came across Superlux. After a little investigating, I found that the Superlux also produced a few models referred to gamble, so I ended up HMC-631 and still a nice color.

In terms of quality of construction HMC-631 is a squat cues. Not natise waving and lasted a few damaging the floor instillation is just perfect. A small adjustment allowance would have been nice, but for me these suitable very well in the head.

Superlux HMC-631 surprised me positively, for the money. Headset is comfortable to hold over long distance sessions, as long as remember to take breaks at regular intervals. If you do not like bass, I recommend in that case take a look at some other options. Management of pregnancy is probably the greatest sorrow.

One of the best ever for my purchases. I highly recommend.
