Outside Noise Isolation
Good alternative to the usual computer headsets.
Benjamin K. 606, 12.11.2013
In the course of time, I had already a few headsets on the computer in use (to listen to music, play and to communicate via Teamspeak / Skype).
In the price class up to 50EUR seems to me the HMC-631 as a recommendable.

Depending on the requirements you have and the quality you have known so far, the HMC-631 can either inspire or disappoint.

The HMC-631 I have as a headset for off-house (network meeting / music hang up on birthday parties etc.) and at home I usually use the cheap 20EUR Superlux 681 headphones + Antlion Modmic.

The first thing to notice is the strong noise reduction of the HMC-631 ... the ambient noise is attenuated relatively strongly, which can be viewed as a pro argument in a noisy environment. At the local desk I prefer however somewhat more open models, like the Superlux 681, which the environment is not so strongly suppressed.

In the soundcheck I noticed in the direct comparison to the 681 that the HMC-631 produces good basses and mid-tones, but the heights for my taste to dull over come. At the equalizer of the sound card I can counter-control, but the neutral EQ sounds the 681 clearer and better than the HMC-631. This impression is also reinforced by the smaller stage of the HMC-631. The 681 headphone sounds just bigger, more open and clear.

The HMC-631 microphone is solid and takes my voice clearly, even if the ground noise is clearly audible (this is subjectively but on the same level with my Sennheiser PC150, Plantronics Gamecom 380 or the SteelSeries H4, Ie still within the frame or comparable to other headset microphones).

The headset has on the cable (which is in my opinion solid and long enough) still a volume regulator including microphone-mute switch. A typical weakness in many headsets. The time will show whether this controller also works permanently or has contact problems.

The wearing comfort is good, although I have a big head. The contact pressure in conjunction with the strong isolation of the external noise is, however, a necessity.

All in all, the 20EUR Superlux 681 headphone is superior to the 45EUR Superlux HMC-631 and also in terms of its semi-open design and the slightly lower contact pressure, I prefer the 681 continues.

However, if you are looking for a complete headset instead of a combination of a headphone + additional microphone, the HMC-631 does not do much wrong.

New to this headset I was looking for and came across Superlux. After a little investigating, I found that the Superlux also produced a few models referred to gamble, so I ended up HMC-631 and still a nice color.

In terms of quality of construction HMC-631 is a squat cues. Not natise waving and lasted a few damaging the floor instillation is just perfect. If now a definite plus too embarrassed to mention, so hit the parquet floor leaves a surprisingly satisfying sound. A small adjustment allowance would have been nice, but for me these suitable very well in the head.

External sound HMC-631 isolated from quite a well. Many times I am scared when someone is hipsinyt behind. Microphone resembles some kind of hands-free vehkeiden equivalent and generate a time of clear sound, what I amateurishly tested. The little one had to boostata, otherwise pikkus over quietly came a voice. Minus I could mention that the microphone can not be folded up, which would have been a nice bonus.

Management is three meters long, that is, should be the appropriate length for various needs. Braided cord is not that I do not feel a terrible loss, because I think braided cables like to cling to, to some harder. Supplying end is a small box, which controls the volume and mute the microphone. Too bad the theme of the management of pregnancy and rises to the sensitivity of the box settings.

A reasonable number of occasions I accidentally muted the microphone when the box is hit, to some raajaani. Due to the management of pregnancy, I experienced a challenging management to keep some kind of discipline.

What about sound quality? I was positively surprised. I'm no sound expert, but these sound like quite a good my ear. Bass sounds napakalta and loud, but utterly destroy other instruments. Song inundated with maybe a tiny bit, but does not bother oneself. Stereo effect works very well and games will sound very alive, making it easy for the determination of the direction of time.

Superlux HMC-631 surprised me positively, for the money. The structure of HMC-631 is much better than the more expensive half of the representatives and the sound quality makes gaming and listening to music very enjoyable. Headset is comfortable to hold over long distance sessions, as long as remember to take breaks at regular intervals. If you do not like bass, I recommend in that case take a look at some other options. Management of pregnancy is probably the greatest sorrow.

One of the best ever for my purchases. I highly recommend.
