Proficiency in compact format

Johannes aus P., 23.06.2013
I have been waiting a bit for the first two gigs. Here we are:
At the end of the first gig, I had the feeling with the SiEx2 mix for years. You feel right at home and do not have to look great. The level of intuitive operation is very high. Surely there are trifles like "how to send the master signal to a matrix output". But such things can also be found very quickly in the compact manual (press the respective Matrixtaste twice ;-))

A few detail:
- The preamplifiers are extremely low-noise. At first, I thought that the low-power LEDs and Gain Reduction displays might make the match a little more difficult, but practice has taught me a better one. It is easy to see that a heartbeat with decades of experience is at work here.
- The sound control "sounds" very musically. It reminds me of my earlier analog times (I must add that I already before the SiEx2 on a digital console has mixed). Very soft yet precise and never sterile or "hard".
- The routing with 14 buses, 4 additional matrix buses, 4 other FX buses is more than sufficient and flexible according to all requirements. There are physically 16 analogue and 1 digital output available.
- Each bus and, of course, for each master L + R + C is a full 30-channel graph. EQ available. I used to have the racks with EQs and effects. Those days are over.
- 4 effect devices from Lexicon from the MX400 series taken discreetly, ie the FXe not burden the computing power of the DSP, but are always self-sufficient in their "full splendor" available. ;-)
- For handling in general: The process now looks as follows:
Unplug the console, cover off, make the power supply, plug in the multipin plug of the Multicore (the digital stagebox will be the next project ;-)) and you're off.

Surely one can now make comparisons with the brand B ..., which has also produced a very good product, but I can only say that I have not regretted my choice at any moment. I'm looking forward to the announced Multi-IO card, which will allow you to create elegant and "single-track" single-track livestations via USB or Firewire. Furthermore, there should be a DANTE card, which at the same time a digital Stagebox operate, as well over the LAN connection of the Audiokorkstation the dig. Audio signals to your computer.

As a small highlight in the end I tested the operation by means of WLAN access router and iPad. The times are now over, that I have to be excited about organizers at folk festivals, that the FOH supposedly take away too much spectator space. I will simply place my SiEx2 on the stage side and look for a pleasant and sound-technically suitable place in the auditorium. Bergkirchweih in Erlangen, Annafest in Forchheim and Sandkerwa in Bamberg have gained for me attractiveness ;-)

Excellent!!!

Juan Felipe R., 20.08.2013
How can Soundcraft bring to the market a product with such exquisite performance in terms of sound, versatility, ease of use and robustness at this price?
I do not know where they got it or how it was. The truth is that we must thank HARMAN for this great product at a time when an incredible BOOM is taking place in the market of digital mixers.
To work in direct is most recommendable by the facility that offers us.
For its price, sound quality and versatility, my rating is EXCELLENT !!!
