I have a collection of tambourines and this one is by far the most comfortable. I've be looking for years for a tambo with a round handle and now I have it. It is also very light but seems to be of very high quality. If there is one issue is that the sound itself is a bit jingly. You can almost hear the pitch of the jingles, almost heading for sleigh bell territory. In a busy mix or in a live situation this gets largely masked and everything is fine. For me it's great as I am sad enough to have a collection of Tambo's but if you only want one you may want something a little drier sounding. Maybe Sonor could do this tambourine with brass jingles? Recommended.
very strong and solid, high tension - v good clamps - v loud. v good quality materials - wood - and build. good solid striker, but light. comfortable and easy to hold for long periods - well balanced. great price.
The skin tore on the first use. It's a shame as the sound was OK, but it didn't even make it past soundcheck. It's not a total loss as I guess it can still be used as a tambourine. Next time i'll buy one with a synthetic skin.
