Superb product - really makes a difference!

I was always rather sceptical about claims made for ligatures. However, on testing a CRYO4 ligature belonging to someone else in an environment where other bass clarinettists were listening, both they and I could detect a noticeable improvement in response and sound quality. The latter was creamier and more even across the range of the instrument, from lowest notes right up into the altissimo register.

I've now bought my own ligature and find that it is just as good and very satisfying. Highly recommended.

Set up used: Buffet 'Prestige' bass with a Vandoren B50 mouthpiece, reeds: Vandoren and Gonzalez strength 2.5. Used mainly for orchestral and clarinet quartet work.
