KSM 9 CG

Georgina H., 26.09.2014
If you play with a live band... this is the right microphone for you! Yes, it is certainly a little pricy but the ability to perform without the threat of feedback every time you move is fantastic. For those who play guitar at the same time as singing, the isolation is excellent!!

Okay Kondersator Vocal Mic

1vl, 27.11.2010
Had the opportunity to test the Shure ksm 9 together with the Sennheiser E 965 and the Neumann KMS 105 (Thank you, thomann!). All three Vocal-Kondesator-Mics are in the same price class and are also adequately related. The switchable characteristics make the Shure Mic live quite flexible. This is between the E 965, with which 10dB pad and lowcut can be switched and the Neumann, the simple "plug and play" with the fixed Hyperniere offers.

Since in the decision for or against a vocal microphone the own voice and also the context in which it should be used is important, I tell here that I was looking for a mic for a rather quiet to medium baritone in an acoustic band, of course Sound and flexible.

This flexibility gives the Shure KSM 9 the joy of the sound engineer due to the switchable characteristics, the output level is also really neat. The sound distinction of the 3 Mics was partly not easy, it is just 3 really good sounding condenser Mics, since one does not need to test SM58. I noticed that the KSM 9 has the strongest close-up effect of all, which is not live for my requirements: By playing instruments at the same time, the distance varies involuntarily, which changes the sound significantly. Otherwise, I noticed a certain "potness" when I listened to several times (I think this has already been said here somebody), especially at intervals of about 15cm, but now you can only see this directly in comparison with the other candidates Is thus hacked at a high level. Ultimately, the descriptive sound effects led to the fact that I sent the KSM 9 back again. How the Mic search went out you find in the next chapter, after reading the Sennheiser E965 and Neumann KMS 105 BK.
