I'll admit that we considered the Phantom 75 before these, but we couldn't afford them. We went ahead and bought 4 Phantom 50s to replace our aging Martin Roboscans and since then we haven't looked back.
Out of the box these things look serious. They are light and come with a hanging bracket (you still need to buy the G clamps). DMX and power in/out on the units means that with some creative wiring, you can power and control multiple fixtures from one mains and DMX outlet.
In action, the Phantom 50 looks amazing. Colours are bright and vivid and fading is smooth. The beams created are very precise and the rotational control available is very good. We were so impressed with the 4 units we got that we went and bought another 4 straight away. In fact, the Phantom 50s were so good that we had to upgrade other parts of the lighting rig to keep up with them.
The 8 units we have in our lighting rig are more than capable of providing a decent light show to a 500 seat theatre. In fact we've had comments from audience members saying that the light show is now 'high definition' compared to before.

I've been using the Showtec Movinheads for quite some time and I have to say they are just top! A total package, flawless and at a good price. The faulty operating noise can be heard at an event (hardly). No one ever complained about it. The light yield a blessing! Really good. Processing, features a dream! Clear purchase recommendation.
