P
Seymour Duncan SJB-2B BLK
Paul2383 18.08.2015
An excellent pickup which, in conjunction with the matching neck pickups (the SPB-2s) makes available a terrific range of tones. I used them as a pair to replace the stock pickups on a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special SS and it has improved an already good guitar almost beyond recognition. Seymour Duncan bill it as a "hot" single coil, but don't panic, it's a very smooth sounding pup. Unless you need a particularly hard and dirty overdriven sound I'd recommend this for everything from pop to rock to blues.

-aggressive but organic sound

cons:
pots are not included. (I am spoiled by EMGs)

R
Seymour Duncan hot jazz bass bridge pickup
Rolf2079 01.07.2014
I ordered this as I wanted a pickup that would give me a fuller tone in the bridge position compared to the standard pickup - pleased with it as this is exactly what it delivers - more bottom end and lower midrange than usual in this position, and better balanced level wise with the naturally bassier neck pickup. Still sounds very jazz bass, though possibly not quite as much high treble response as some pickups out there, but nice 'bark' and weight to it, just what I wanted, great stuff! Comes with height screws, foam pad for underneath, plus wiring details (standard 2 wire output on this).

D
JUST THE JOB FOR FENDER JAG BASS UPGRADE!
David7029 12.08.2015
This pickup has proved to be just right for upgrading my Fender Jag Bass.

For a bridge position Jazz pup there is loads of punchy bottom end and clarity and attack at the top end. Combine this with the Seymour Duncan SPB-2 and the Jag has come alive and, more importantly, now has balanced pups both individually and when blended.

Great price from Thomann, as usual, and mega quick delivery!
