SD SJM-2N - Jazzmaster
Octopie, 22.05.2019

Great pickup to replace my pickups from Squier Jazzmaster.
Extremely percussive and clear pickup. Very balanced and detailed. A bit more full-bodied than the original pickup, but with a lot more articulation. You can really hear the strings.
It works exceptionally well in the mid position of the jazzmaster (neck + bridge). I recommend the installation of neck + bridge (SJM 2N + SJM 3B)

Perfect accompaniment for the SJM-3B
Tom55, 01.09.2014
My Jazzmaster had rather a flat, dull tone with its stock pickups, and I bought this to go alongside a Seymour Duncan SJM-3B in the bridge. I was immediately enthused with the results!

When using the rhythm section, the SJM-2N is able to conjure a variety of tonal expressions. With the volume and tone cranked, you hit that trademark Jazzmaster purr, with just the right amount of slap and smack with each whack of the strings. Dial back the volume and can ease off the slap, but still keep the nice, warm roll of chords and single notes, perfect for an acoustic simulation. If you dial in just the tone, you can produce a gorgeous, dark bass sound that glides around behind a screaming lead.

The most impressive thing about the SJM-2N is the sustain, which was a real winner for me as it was just what I was after. I can?t think of any downsides to the SJM-2N, as I feel it covers the ever-widening variety of sounds I like to coax out of a Jazzmaster, particularly when combined with the Seymour Duncan SJM-3B.

love these pickups
19.06.2014
I replaced the pickups in my Japanese Jazzmaster with these. The Japanese models have a pickup that looks like a Jazzmaster but it wound in a strat style. They therefore sound more strat like so replacing them is a very common modification.

For a thicker and rounder Jazzmaster tone these are highly recommended. Plus they have a bit more output than the full vintage Jazzmaster pickup which is nice if you tend towards more dirt and distortion (though obviously they aren't full high gain pickups)

Authentischer Sound
B.L.Blues, 24.12.2010
