Unbelievable.

Ross K, 05.02.2014
This guitar is the stand out perfomer in its price range and above. I bought this guitar after a long few months of research. Made the decision based on the features. Original Floyd Rose, EMG 81/85, Set neck, 24 frets. These features on the 1 guitar for 1000 euro is a rediculiously good deal. 6 Years later it still stands out, plays perfectly, and has a wide range of sounds from very heavy metal to relaxed clean with a roll of the tone knob.

Hingucker-Metal-Guitar

Marc L., 06.10.2009
Playability: Very good, just fun. The 24 X-Jumbo frets provide a good feel, and string bendings soak. The transition from the neck to the body is flowing through the glued neck, so that the 24th fret on the low E string is still achieved. The neck is also lacquered on the back on high gloss, and at least my left hand slip very well over it. :) With a harder approach, the low E-string with my model tends to light rattling in the lower layers. Did not disturb me however so far.

Pickup: EMG 81 at the bridge position (currently a kind of metal standard, if one also synonymous with the whole ESPs with it), EMG 89 at the neck, both active. Volume can be adjusted individually. When you pull out a knob, the humbucker turns into a single coil with the corresponding characteristic sound (eg for quieter passages without distortion), a nice addition that creates additional possibilities for variation. Nevertheless, the EMG 81 is of course designed for high-gain distortion ("Hellraiser" even) and it is also great fun to produce noise. :) The EMG 89 sounds nice warm, I would however here the volume against the bridge PU somewhat reduce. The pickups can also be combined, the lower volume of the two volume controls then determines the total volume. The EMGs already have a characteristic sound, you should try out, if one of the likes. Some call it "sterile", which I can not confirm: all a question of amp and EQ setting. A battery in the compartment on the back keeps feeling quite long, and the change is easily possible without tools.

Tremolo: Original Floyd Rose. Due to the clamping saddle very very stiff, so that it is rarely necessary to adjust. Even after Dives on the tremolo lever is nothing detuned, which I therefore without hesitation more often times. :) (One of my other guitars with only licensed FR would be easily detuned.) Thanks to the recess under the tremolo, the lever can also be lifted upwards. Small drawback: The springs of the tremolo tend to resonate, which can lead to an audible resonance of the strings even when the hand is damped. To put it off, I put short pieces of prong in the three feathers (I do with every FR, actually Floyd Rose could do something in the direction), so is peace.

Optics: This guitar stands out clearly. The "black cherry" varnish is covered with the woody wood. Both body and head plate are edged with abalones (mother-of-pearl or at least somewhat in this direction). The inlays also seem to consist of abalones and are set very clean; The transition is not felt during driving over. Mechanics, tremolo and controls are held in "Black Chrome" and thus optically discreetly fall into the background.

Overall impression: Great value for money. Looks good, original Floyd Rose, good mechanics (grover), good workmanship. Have it now a year and am still highly satisfied.
