First of all, I would like to say that I would never use such a cheap microphone for speakers and certainly not for CD recordings. For me it is simply a talkback microphone. (If you need it, you can use it on a lectern ... I do not want to pretend to anyone!)
What I think of this microphone so super, is the low-cut switch. At the talkback slot of a mixing console, there is usually no way to edit the voice with the EQ. Without a low cut, the musicians on stage are ruffled with unpleasant sounds. But not with the Samson CM 20 P! The language intelligibility is very good and for talkback purposes also completely sufficient.
Conclusion: You do not have to use a more expensive microphone for the communication between the mixer and the stage. A cheaper and worse - but without a low cut - but it should not be!
The Schwanenhals could be more stable. He does not always remain in the bent position. The curvature is only possible at the upper and lower end. Sound is the mic for voice recording completely in order.
