Worth buying but don't expect too much

Soprano saxes are very sensitive things and small changes can make a big difference. I found the rovner lig ok, a slightly better low end but the top end pitch was a little flat compared to my regular " old style" ligature. I think I'll stick with it and see how it goes.

Ich benutze seit vielen Jahren eine Rovner-Blattschraube für meine Klarinette.

Nun habe ich mir auch eine für mein Sopransaxophon angeschafft, um die ursprünglich beiliegende Metallblattschraube zu ersetzen. Letztere verbiegen leider schnell einmal (vor allem, wenn es sich um günstige Modelle aus billigem Metall handelt), wodurch das Blatt nicht mehr fest und glatt am Mundstück anliegt, sondern auch einmal wackeln kann.
Das passiert mit einer Kunststoff-Blattschraube wie der Rovner Dark nicht mehr. Das Blatt sitzt fest zwischen Mundstück und Blattschraube und kann nicht verrutschen. Befestigung und Feineinstellung fallen durch die große Schraube leicht. Die Schraube ist goldfarben, sodass sie gut zur Optik des Saxophons passt.

Diese spezielle Blattschraube zeichnet sich zusätzlich dadurch aus, dass sie beim Spiel zu einem wirklich vollen, voluminösen Klang verhilft. Ich benutze das Modell Rovner Dark inzwischen auf meinen beiden Saxophonen (Sopran und Alt) und auf meiner Klarinette und würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.
