Very good build quality. Very good handling. I also can't complain about the sound or the features. Actually, I quite enjoy fidelling around with TB-3. But after a year I couldn't find any real usage for this machine in my studio. I own also Roland TR8S and Roland DJ 808. TB-3 plus TR8S is a great combo. It is like playstation for adults. It is great fun to jam, but for actual music production, not very useful, at least for me. Anyway, I do not regret the purchase. Lot's of fun with Roland AIRA products.

Excellent piece of kit!
Serah, 24.11.2017
Bought this to experiment with music around the house and am now introducing it to my live shows and I wasnt disapointed. excellent sounds and lots of banks of different sounds. Lightweight and easy interface.

cons - not many - but one would be that you can only do single notes if playing the "keyboard real time" setting if you want something to play chords on. other than that, I'm super happy with it!

EDIT: After not getting the chance to use it often, I tried to switch it on and it was not powering up at all, I'm currently working with Roland and Thomann to get it repaired, so do further research on any faults these synths have as mine is like new and wont power on having used only the power supply I was sent with it.

I am very disappointed
PietroL, 27.03.2014
This gadget is really not worth it.
The USB setup is not easy and getting it to work with an external sound card is a nightmare.

Midi is OK but you cannot control the TB-3 from your DAW.

What is really missing is a VST to integrate the hardware properly.

For live performance: good!
For studio work: get something else.

ROLAND TB-3 REVIEW
Gerard1982, 06.01.2016
This a fantastic little unit. on opening the tb-3 from its package i found the build quality very solid and the touch pad been made to last. this unit really lives up to the original 303 from the 80's with some cool new features.the unit can be bus powered without the need for a power supply and if you own a roland mx-1 you can have audio midi and power all from one usb cable which cuts down on cables i would highly recommend this unit to any one that is into making some acid house grooves or cool baselines it is easy and fun to use
