Great Gig Bag, Great Hat Jokes

After purchasing an acoustic bass on a whim - the rather wonederful fretless Aria f-hole thing that came out recently - I realised I was urgently in need of some kind of case for it. This is that case.

The instrument fits perfectly and is now easy to transport. As an added bonus, since the neck of the instrument rises high above your head as you walk along with the thing attached to your back, random strangers will approach you making jokes about the amazing hat they now realise that you are not wearing after all. This, despite what you may initially think, does actually not get old.

As a person of average height, I do find that the added clearance required above my head when transporting my bass in this case is taking some while to get used to; it's been over a year now and I still occasionally bump the thing on bus stops, overhanging trees and lower hanging roof parts of London Underground tube tunnels. That said, my bass remains undamaged - thanks to Ritter! - and I am getting better at remembering the special Groucho Marx walk you have to do in order to avoid the issue in the first place.

Perfect fit for a big acoustic bass

Been struggling to find a portable case for my Takamine TB-10 acoustic bass, as it is pretty large and the original supplied hard case is HEAVY.
This is a perfect fit, better than I could have hoped for. Very light and easily carried on the back. The Quality is good. The pockets are a bit quirky, but good enough.

Je me suis offert cette housse dans le but de voyager avec ma basse acoustique sans dégat, ayant eu une très mauvaise expérience avec des housses à faible rembourrage auparavant. Donc côté rembourrage, aucun souci! L'instrument est bel et bien à l'abri des chocs et la protection est effective. En revanche, les fermetures éclair sont de très,très basse qualité, et me lâchent une à une,je me retrouve aujourd'hui à ne plus savoir fermer la fermeture éclair principale et rafistole le matériel au fur et à mesure.Bref,achat à bien réfléchir pour un baroudeur, car je n'achèterais plus chez Ritter désormais! Et sinon merci Thomann pour le reste!
