Sound filled, optics +1
For a year I have 16 "Fiberskyn as a beat and resonance drum on the Bassdrum, without a microphone hole, with a Sofakissen for the dampening. Most I use the felt side of the Beater.
Until today, there is no significant wear on the coat. With no damping and so high that the fur does not mangle, the sound is very special: long decay time and very many overtones, whereby a 16 "x16" boiler does not sound vintage. (I used to prefer larger kettles.) The sound is very good for "jazz-that-grooves" recordings with attenuation and at approx. 60Hz: Articulated kick and (with support microphone in front of the resonance skin) enough volume with a short decay time.
Visually, the skin looks interesting. The texture and hue differs minimally from the Skyntone skins of the other kettles - but this only occurs when juxtaposed. Therefore, 4 stars for processing.
