This cable is wrongly configured during manufacture.

The cable is just straight-through connections ie Pin 1 to Pin 1. it should be configured to provide input signals are connected to output signals ie Pin 1 should go to Pin 5 etc.

In the provided straight-through configuration the cable is of no use to anyone.

Ja, was soll man groß sagen, es macht in erster Linie mal das, was es soll. Ist halt Yamaha-Belegung, ich hätte eines mit Tascam-Belegung für RME-Geräte gebraucht, aber so eines habe ich nirgends im Internet gefunden. Also habe ich mir das hier bestellt und umgelötet. Viel nervige Arbeit, aber es funktioniert. Es besteht aus einzelnen Kabeln, pro Digital-Kanal (+, -, Gnd) wobei die Grounds dann an den Enden zusammengeführt werden.
Für eine Tascam-Belegung muss man das dann auftrennen, da dort die Grounds nicht alle einfach nebeneinander liegen.

Sonst funktioniert alles, Digital-Kabel mit 110Ohm Wellenwiederstand für AES/EBU bis hin zu 192kHz (weiter kann ich mit meinen Geräten nicht rauf.
Robuste Stecker, massives Kabel, ganz okay verarbeitet, was aber für den Preis eh selbstverständlich sein sollte.
