For a small interface with one instrument and one microphone output, this is absolutely amazing.

The build quality is exceptional. Consisting of a 2 piece plastic-in-metal construction, the interface has a beautiful blue brushed metal surface on the top, front and bottom. It feels heavy and solid in the hand and I am certain that it can survive serious abuse.

Feature wise it has everything you would expect in a convenient layout. 1 microphone and 1 instrument output, gain adjustments for both, direct monitoring, phantom power, two channel speaker output and a headphone output. A useful feature for me is that you can use both the speakers and the headphones at the same time and with separate volume adjustments.

The Windows drivers are extremely user friendly and error free. Even at the lowest latency settings this interface is very stable.

It's a bit pricey, but the quality justifies it.

B
Problem with mic input level
Bround 07.06.2020
The XLR mic input level is too low on this device - it needs to be turned up full in order to get any signal at all while recording. Having researched this online it seems it's a design fault on this presonus audiobox and not a problem that can be remedied.

V
A good quality interface for home studio
Vlăduț 27.12.2020
This audio interface has all the things you need to start your own music production and home studio journey. I especially like the built of it( it is mostly metal made) and the multiple functions that it offers you like two inputs for mic and instrument, a headphone input, a device, monitors input and so on. The most unique function is that you can control the volume of your headphones and your studio monitors independently because the interface has separate knobs for each volume. Overall is woth spending the money on it if you are starting your own studio or for ohter home and recording applications.

The quality is very good, it's very lightweight and portable. It's made of metal and feels solid with rubber feet on the bottom. I noticed that it took very little gain until the input for electric guitar started to blink red, maybe at the 11 o'clock position and it clips already. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing. The knobs are a bit stiff, they have little turning steps and this is nice if you want to set the levels precisely. But I prefer if they were just a little bigger so they are easier to turn. The volume knob is perfect though, nice and big. Things I wish it had are RCA connectors together with TRS on the back and a combined TRS/XLR connector in the front. But for what it is, it's a very nice product already.
