Excellent work of Peerless company

I was looking for a new archtop guitar with accentuated woody and acoustically powerful sound. My criteria were floating pickup, body size 16-17 '' and price range up to 1,500 EUR. After some research, the selection had limited to the models of Peerless, D'Angelico and Guild, which I could all at Thomann on site. From the processing and the sound of the D'Angelico I was very disappointed, I have to say that they had raised Roundwounds. The guild was very nicely processed, had also a massive spruce top and was acoustically playable loud. The sound went very much towards the traditional acoustic archtop and was not exactly what I was looking for. The peerless was also impeccably processed, and in my opinion, through its look and sound, the impression of a more complete jazz guitar. So the Peerless was my choice.

Compared to full-mass guitars, which are partly found in the same price segment, the Peerless has only a laminated ceiling, which compared to the Guild in a minimally lower volume. There is a punctual deduction for the features. If money had not played any role, I would probably have decided for the full-massed Peerless Imperial. On the other hand, exactly this construction makes the Peerless less susceptible to feedback, which actually relativizes this tiny criticism.

At the amp the guitar makes a super figure. It is very differentiated. The sound itself is relatively brilliant and not very variable due to the construction method and the missing tone potentiometer, but exactly this feature I love. You get a bombastic, straightforward jazz sound. Of course, one can regulate a lot about the amp, but who is looking for the musty Metheny sound will not be able to start with this instrument as with most floaters.

The photos do not do justice to the beauty of this guitar. Processing, work (D'Addario chromees) and setting are sharp. I am very happy with my purchase.

The guitar is very beautiful. The case is stacked at its size.
Made with care, it proves to be very comfortable to play, precise, fluid, fast and sonorous.
I think the ebony of the key should be there for many.
Trendy, it sounds perfect: you hear the notes and not the sound of the pick ... the sound is jazz, but not that.

If one wants to look for a fault, the tailpiece that protrudes a little bit from the rear body gene to tie the strap.

It's really a great instrument.

It should be added that I ordered it on Saturday and received it on Wednesday ... it's fantastic.
