Peavey Classic 30 Tweed

Tube Combo

The name Peavey used to stand for very inexpensive amps of average quality. In the interim, however, they have since worked their way up into the higher echelons of the amp class system - which is most recently evident with the specially tailor-made for Eddie Van Halen 5150 amp. The Peavey Classic Series of all-tube amps have become some of the most popular tube amps ever, which is partly still due to the reasonable price (for tube amps), but also due to the really good sound of their components.

The Classic 30 Tweed delivers 30 watts from 4x EL84 power tubes to a 12" speaker, which is reminiscent of the classic amps (such as Fender or Vox), and the sound is on point. As well as the traditional clean channel this amp also has a modern lead channel with a master volume. No wonder the Classic 30 itself has almost become a classic.

Peavey Classic 30
Neil Nina, 11.03.2014
Great sound, Used for live situations, Stock valves had to be changed after a week of purchase. I had alot of problems with this between Biasing, Tube Changes and fuses. Its a pitty though as its a beautiful sounding amp. I actually prefer it over a Fender hotrod. I did however buy the first batch of them so i'd imagine by now all the issues are sorted out.

Ein Klassiker unter den Röhrenamps
Ibanez77, 21.10.2009
