I regularly gig and own many pedals and two large pedalboards filled with different fx. With that in mind, I can say this pedal is excpetionally well made - very strong, sturdy build with well designed knobs that turn very smoothly and securely. The quality of both the delay and the compression are very good and very useable.
The quirky part comes with the fact compression (controlled here by 'threshold' and 'level' knobs) is usually at the start of the signal chain, but delay (controlled here by the other four knobs) is usually at the end. Plus there's the unique 'pre/post' button on the back to control whether the compression comes before or after the delay. So, how does this work practically? I've found it actually very useable at the start of my signal chain - with the comp on all the time and just turning up the delay when I need it mid-gig. The 'pre/post' button has a significant effect on the delay, making the repeats much clearer when in 'post' mode. Both settings sound great and are very musical.
In terms of sounds, the delay is very warmand versatile in terms of tone and repeats and the quality of sound is excellent - love it lots. With the 'pre' button engaged, this becomes an amazing stand-alone delay pedal for both studio and live work. Probably best at the end of a signal chain if it were to be used in this way.
The compression is very transparent and low noise and doesn't appear to colour my tone and is good even on a 4-string bass without any noticeable loss to lows. There's no adjustment of ratio, attack or release (hense less than 5 stars for features) but it sounds great to me and I'm very picky about compressors and have several at home I could use instead, but I like this one the best.
Very cheap price for what you get: a pro-made, pro-sounding, versatile, useful, musical pedal.
