Replaced all my other Tube Screamers
razvanc, 18.10.2020
I've owned quite a number of Tube Screamers over the years. My first one was a Vox Valvetone V810; then I've used an Ibanez TS9, both stock and modified to Keeley specs (turned it into a TS808 with more gain on tap and a better op-amp); then I've build a BYOC Overdrive 2; and finally tried a Way Huge Green Rhino.

I've sold all but the BYOC, and the Persian Green Screamer has replaced my Green Rhino. To my ears, the PGS is the best of the bunch. I like my BYOC because I've customised it to clip with germanium diodes as a third option (first one's standard, second one LED clipping), but I could easily live with the PGS alone.

Considering it can also fit a battery, it's one quarter of the size of the Green Rhino, and also has two different modes (TS808 mid-hump + a somewhat low-gain Klon-ish boost mode) it's a no-brainer: as long as I'll have a use for the Tube Screamer tone, this pedal's here to stay. My quest is over.

The TS is dead, Long Live The TS!
28.01.2017
Within 10 minutes of use, the Persian Green replaced both my loved vintage TS9 and TS10 on my board! The same sound but cleaner and without noise. Long live the Persian Green. So good in fact I am thinking of getting a second one.

Modern twist of most copied pedal of all time. Small, looks sturdy and nice. 808 mod is dead on, TS9 mod Tone and Drive have smaller range (in comparison for example with Maxon 808), but finally is better, cleaner and manageable sound.

Muy satisfecho A+++++
McMaRoT, 11.02.2020

A classic Ibanez Tubescreamer or Colorsound Tonebender can fetch many times its original price from guitarists in search of the ultimate killer tone and sustain.
