|One Guitar – One Tree!|
For every guitar we sell, we'll sponsor a new tree. Regardless of whether it's an entry level or a high-end guitar/bass, a tree will have been sacrificed. Our project goes a little way to helping the environment.Thomann's Tree-O-Meter
so many trees have been planted thanks to help from our customers.
You can't improve the climate by just talking about it A German 9-year old school pupil thought exactly this. In 2007 he held a class presentation about the climate crisis and global warming. He believed that we could achieve a CO2 balance if children in every country around the world planted one million trees. Nearly 4 years later his idea has become reality, it's called Plant-for-the-Planet and over 3.8 million trees worldwide have been planted. Children from 100 countries are participating in this project.
One Guitar – One Tree: Regardless of whether you have your eye on an entry level or a high-end guitar, a tree will have been sacrificed. Every minute the equivalent of 36 football field sized portions of the rainforest are being torn down. We need to strike a balance. Our project One Guitar – One Tree will make a small contribution. It's important to still always check what you're buying and how it was manufactured.
Thomann promises between 01.06.2011 and 31.12.2011 to make a donation to the organisation 'Plant-for-the-Planet' for every acoustic or eGuitar/bass we sell so that new trees can be planted. You'll find the project logo on every product page on our website which is involved in this project. (Double basses, ukeleles, banjos and mandolins are not included). Customer's personal information will not be passed on to the organisation or to any third party. Musikhaus Thomann will keep it's website updated regularly with news on this project.
We'll hopefully soon have planted a new forest together!
Do you want to do more? With 'Plant-for-the-Planet' you can become actively involved: You can buy your own trees. There are planting groups set up in many towns. For more information please click here.
