the little mooer pe100 is okay speaking of the low price. expecting more from a compact cheap guitar amp than this would be ridiculous.

the connectors (ins and outs) are selectable between 3,5 and 6,35 " jacks. the outputrouting is mono. no problem with that. to speak of the knobs and touch buttons they got enough grip for the price, no problem too.

but here s something that makes my using a bit uncomfortable. the distortion amps and overdrives are too loud in relation to the other sounds (youknow reverbs, phasers, chorus ones and stuff). sure an amp model has a "harder, more intensive character" but in this case here its not the saturation of the effect but the output volume which totally differs so that I easily got a peak over by using those amps and distortions while the rest of the effects has an output level that almost aint there to notice by ears.

sure I can regulate that from program to program but its like I said a bit uncomfortable. whats also tricky is to find the a well working overall peak level cauz I use this box in a selfmade analog modulation effect chain for recording.

so if my signal is peaked over its wrecked youknow.

so anyways for the cheap price the overall performance of the little guitar effects box is okay.

Due to the sounds
Laurent-C, 26.02.2018
I was very excited when reading the product sheet.
On paper, the PE 100 corresponded exactly to the two uses for which I intended it, namely:
- Playing headphones at home without disturbing anyone
- Can play on the move with a very small footprint

I had no ambition to connect to a console for recording studio, use it for stage or connect to an amp.
I must admit that the unpacking, the article is well made, the metal frame gives it a good pace, it looks pretty solid and the look is nice. The fact that the food is delivered with is a real plus.

During the first test, I quickly disillusioned. Maybe it's due to the output level too high pickups of my guitar (2 humbuckings) but almost ALL sounds saturate (even clean sounds) and are similar, unless I lower the volume of the guitar (and at this moment the sound of scratched ropes covers that of the PE 100 through the helmet ...).
At this price, I suspected that some of the available sounds would not be useful or even whimsical but in the end, the full range of possibilities of the device, only two or three distortion / saturation sounds seemed "credible" with about as many clear sounds (which suddenly crunched, none was crystalline).

In short, it is possible that my guitar is not ideal for this kind of device but I was very disappointed by the rendering of sounds to use.

I kept the device 24 hours before asking for a return to Thomann.
I greet Thomann for his return procedure, in a few clicks I had a free return to print and paste on the package that I returned the next day.
Upon receipt of the package, Thomann refunded me in full.
